Mmm, don't know which way to go now! Replacement or s/hand. Saw doesn't do much work, maybe just go for new, instead of s/hand and buying new rings and circlips.

When turning it over by hand it feels a bit sloppy when piston is at the top of its stroke, like big end sloppy, not sure.

Took decomp off, it appears to be ok, valve lifting and reseating. Not a true test I know, but nothing falling apart.

Aye, decompression is about the same when valve is engaged and disengaged.

A mate bought it off eBay about a year ago, I would say it's never been quite right since he bought it. I used it today and it went fut!! Haven't looked at it yet but am tempted to have a wee look just now. Cheers Rich.
