  1. Aye, and we all subsidise these turbines in our leccy bills, at least the folks up there are getting something back, and log suppliers might get a bit extra business. Turbines only make the rich richer and poor poorer.
  2. Aye, that's what I was thinking!

    Smokers.

Good for you, hope it works for you, crap habit and, yes I do!!
  4. Yep, "leave well alone" is another old saying. Builder must be looking for work. Having said that, they say stoves run most efficiently with correct diameter flue, but if you're happy with stove then leave it alone.
  5. Not burned any of it either, good to have a decent pile sitting there though, you got a splitter or is it still the x27?
  6. Hope you're right bob, I've just had 25t of larch delivered, read somewhere it's the hardest of the softwoods but dries fairly quick. Will find out over the coming months I suppose.
  7. It works sometimes, a guy here was dipped and car and pick up were both full of red, fined a couple of thousand pounds! But had probably saved that over the years.
  8. The price we pay for living out here on west coast islands!
  9. Inner glass stays hotter therefore cleaner apparently!!
  10. Why is it double glazed stubby?
  11. Having strong connections to Lewis, this breaks my heart. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMY_Iolaire
  12. Nothing wrong with ladders, jeez, where would we be without them? On the ground? Unless it's a tree. Took most of a tree down last week, would have been a pita without ladder!

Anyone got a set of roof bars for 04 double cab they'd like to sell? The ones that fit to roof, not to rails.

    026 bogging down

Gave the saw a bit of work this morn, like a different saw! Plenty power, no bogging down, much crisper. Must have been sooking air for a while. Thanks gents.
  16. Think you might be on your own there pal, although maybe my hens do that when I put it in nesting box! (But I'm not sure they've seen bugsy Malone)
  17. What is sitting on the middle of the burr?
