    Adze?

I have the gransfors Swedish carving axe, Forrest hatchet and carpenters axe so I may aswell get the adze to match but was trying to find a cheaper alternative ha

    Adze?

Yes an adze for bowl carving but not a posh and chuffing expensive one (gransfors, Hans karlson etc...) although I would love an expensive one I can't warrant the cost so I was wondering if anyone on here could make one, I tried the user cracker but haven't heard back

    Adze?

How do chaps and chappetes Looking for someone to make me a reasonably priced and decent adze, I'm based in West Yorkshire but don't mind paying extra for postage and whatnot! Anyone on here that can help? Cheers
  6. Got my first 5 and now it feels like Christmas! No more work, in a cottage on Aaron for a week, lots of beer, first tickets bought I think I deserve another beer ha! Great cause and as always great job Steve (especially with all the technical problems!)
  7. It's almost as exciting as the new Star Wars! Great work as always Steve
  8. Will the prize list and whatnot be up tonight or will it be tomorrow when the websites back up? Keep up the good work Steve 👍🏻
  9. By "vary" I'm assuming they want you to change the tree TPO'd for instance Fraxinus excelsior - felled Prunus avium - planted So that they can keep an up to date stock of what's where? Also they would like to know when the work has been completed? Imo unless they put a shorter timescale (ie less that 2 years) or ask on the tpo forms for an (estimated?) completion date, there is no viable way of keeping up to date. Legally I can't see an issue with a tpo being transferred from felled tree to planted tree automatically and then the information about the planted tree being updated once works have been completed (which is going back to estimated completion) Hope this helps Rhino
  10. Received my tipmaster light guards on friday, thank you very much chuffed with them! Very generous prize!
  11. Rick you are a tit, I love telling you I told you so now imagine my little voice saying "I told you so!" every time you try doing something stupid! Hope you are fixed up now and let me know if you need anything you old fool Stay safe Ryan
  12. hornbeam is and always will be the strongest, hardest, most expensive, best, wettest, biggest, most difficult, most beautiful, useless, carve-able, plank-able, weakest, softest, cheapest, ugliest and worst tree ever and if in doubt it's definitely a hornbeam unless HMRC are asking in which case it's a "friends" beer money tree and you are just holding it for them while they pay your taxes, now please don't report me to the CIA and I think I've covered all bases!
  13. Holme oak or plane I'd have said
  14. 5 bought so far and the lads at work are planning on pooling some money and buying some. All for a great charity
  15. Does anyone know if there are cash machines at the apf? I'm planning on heading down tomorrow, should be there between 9:30-10:30 traffic permitting as I'm traveling from bolton! Hope to meet some arbtalkers down there
  16. I carry a knife at all times when climbing and all the groundsmen that work with/for me carry a knife, IMO it's an important piece of safety equipment and I won't work without at least one in the tree and one on the deck Sent using Rhinos Arbtalk Mobile App
