  1. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/husqvarna-chainsaw-parts-c-114486_114487.html it's where I get my stuff
  2. I know husky changed some part numbers, so the 88 or 97 parts should fit, just photo the coil, kuz there are 2 in that time period, and they differ greatly, so it's fairly clear cut
  3. Could you post a photo of the coil? And judging by something I found in arboristsite I'm guessing your saw is a 95 model
  4. It's a 90's one by the sounds, '88 or '97 parts should fit it
  5. Well I've narrowed it down to 85-97 as the years, what's the break made of? Plastic or metal?
  6. And the age is on the metal tag somewhere on the saw
  7. Try this site Husqvarna Chainsaw Parts : eReplacementParts.com
  8. Yeah, I've just had the same problem 20 mins ago after I repaired mine, least stihl are easier to get into
  9. Check it's connected right way round, short leg to carb
  10. On my bench today: my 338xpt, parts arrived, clutch and muffler covers went on sweet as a nut... Then it was time to repair the stop switch, husqvarna really didn't think about the maintenance of that... Well this is the switch the previous owner 'repaired'
  11. If you want I can come and do it DGB, I live near Cannock so it's just down the road from me
  12. Recon spud could stick one in a saw?!
  13. Yet another
  14. And another
  15. Another pic, won't let me upload more than 1
  16. Here's so far
  17. I wish it was an 090! I recon if anything is stuffed on this it'll be the ignition coil anyway, but I have a feeling that will be expensive
  18. Muffler off, piston is shiny, no scoring
  19. On my bench today: the full wrap for the 385 arrived, hardest part was removing the rubber pipe off it, the 338xpt recoil spring has snapped so that is added to the parts I need:cursing:
  20. I'm typing off my phone, and the start of the thread gave me more buttons to press, and I've just figured out how
  21. Would do, but I don't know how to post pics
  22. How big are the conifers? (Width of the trunk). You don't need a pro saw, or even a 60cc saw for choppin up conifers so save your cash, buy a 45-50cc saw built for all round use
  23. Cheers dude
  24. Oh I got all the parts, just can't figure how to stick the rest on
  25. Been given a stihl 009 saw that appears to have spent a very long time in a barn, question is should I bother trying to fix it?
