  1. Don't buy a husky then, if you expect a new piece of equipment to work perfectly when a production run starts, most of all if they add electrics to something that previously has never had computery stuff, I remember when they did the mk3, the circuit controlled the safety, power regulator, I thought that was a stupid idea, with shooting happening it the cold, wet, the dark, where the weather would damage the internals, you couldn't see to fix, and a long way from a tool box, sure enough, the batteries didn't last, and they recalled the first 10k, but now all the top spec guns have a computer, when husky bought out the 550/560, I thought it was a bad idea, so I waited for the rants, and they did, and husky fixed it, so I got mine, and it's good! But that's my saw, it's the way it goes, I would be interested to find out the duff saw serial numbers, whether its a certain 1000 or something Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. Just use 50:1 stihl or husky oil Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. What model is the saw, and husky parts should fit if it isn't too old Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. True, I've never needed warranty stuff on any of my pro saws either, and now I've learned to rebuild my saws, I don't use the dealer for that, just parts, and new toys Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Doughnuts! And customer service is always needed, as there will always be a fault in something, when produced in large numbers Jon, would you ever buy another daystate rifle? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Yes Husky 445 5.1kg Mac 450 elite 5.4kg Jred 2245 4.9kg Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. The more technical stuff they add to these things, the more that can go wrong will, look at the ms261, a few people had em blow the bearings, we have machines at work the same, boom sprayer with a computer, takes the boss literally hours to set up, all sensors shot, etc, all in the name of power and performance, even hodge said his was a brilliant saw when running right, I imagine the 540t will have some sort of issue if it ever gets released Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. It's a husky 445 in black, but apparently slightly heavier? Black plastic obviously weighs more than orange, and red is lighter still?! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. It might vary from dealer to dealer tbf, I've never had a problem with husky warranty at my local, but the dealer does value it's customers and I have heard them give husky what for, but so have I, and managed to get oem parts at a reduced rate Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. Pahahahaha I have told him this before, he thought about it last time Jon speak to your dealer and borrow a demo saw! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. I've always found husky better than stihl, stihl reps are arrogant! When I bought my 236 I saw a husky rep a few months later, told em it was a good saw, could they put metal clutch covers, and a better air filter on the next saw, as plastic cover warped! And lo and behold the 135 is everything requested in a small saw Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. I press hard on my 200t out of habit, had a few fights prior, and I love husky caps, much easier, twist on, twist off, though the older ones were better (the ones with a socket slot, not screwdriver) Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Nah, I just picture Jon clear felling Somerset to make way for more orchards, unless spud wants to pay me commission? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  17. Mines 2012, no problems with it Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Mines fine, I run it swapping between aspen and normal 2 stroke, and when I get a new saw, the first few weeks are when I TRY to break it, including me felling a double bar length tree, limbing and cross-cutting without taking it off full throttle Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. All your climbing gear, he doesn't do it as a business, just as a sideline thing, it's actually £30/hour Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. £30 at Ianmorganarb in Stafford, if that's not too far, need to get mine done, thinking about it Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. You tried richening the L screw slightly? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. Sounds interesting, would like to see the two chains in a cut comparison, how many teeth on your rim? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. Yeah, I just use the .025, it fits all my saws, right through the range, but I don't run .404.................. Yet! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. There are 2, .025 for 3/8 and .325 chains, and .030 for .404 chains Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. In some willows you only need an inch of cambium to start a new tree. Damn utilities arbs chipping crack willow under overheads! 😡 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
