1. I've had 2 560 both converted to 3/8 and neither one cut like the 562. The Rev range is smoother and been buzzing off 24-30 inch beech stumps no problems. And yes I was using a 560 on a smaller 3/8 bar full chisel sharp chain and I'd did not cut as quick. As to the weight difference I didn't notice the extra. Regards price A 560 on 18 .325 is 637 on fr Jones + the conversion kit of approx £20. Once import tax claimed back its £90 cheaper. If it lasts me a year I'm happy.
2. Came out about £134 for import tax.
3. Finally did it and imported a 562 from our friends on the states. Came on 3/8th 20inch bar so thought maybe a little sluggish. How wrong I was it rips and I would say it has more power than uk spec. The pick up is quicker and smother. Time will tell if it's worth the mere £444 plus tax.
4. As said we get paid to get wood roadside and our rates are always on the lower side, meaning its go as quick as poss to make money. A tidy job is a slow job if higher rates are paid I'm sure majority drivers would be a lot cleaner with there brash and stumps. The answer is moan at the man paying the tonnage rates not the man trying to earn a living....
5. I have some hornbeam coppice to do in billings hurst area would suit 2-3 man team. Also has some large oaks to fell for timber. Pm or ring 07595290954 if interested. Nick
6. As per title looking for more staff to operate forwarder 830.3 and to do cutting work when required. Must have experience in both and fmoc and upto cs32 chainsaw. Will be a permanent position available for the right person. Will be picking up behind harvester in hardwood thinnings and clear fells around east sussex kent and surrey. 07595290954 thanks nick
7. I've had 2 converted to 3/8 bar and chain, it's more how they run. Seen a few people they run them on 28inch bars which is massive for a saw that size but apparently pull them with ease. If they do run that bar must be more powerful surely, hence my asking.....
8. Hi all, Anyone imported one? If so any problems with it? Anybetter than the 560? Been using a import 372 and it's better than the uk spec so seeing as I smashed up my 2nd 560 thinking may try one.
9. Looking for a cutter must have cs30-31 and experience felling mid/large trees, cs32 preferred. Currently in dorking area but work covers sussex kent and Surrey. Permanent job for the right persons. Self employed basis. 07595290954 Nick.
10. Hi all, About to start a beech and ash thin in dorking area various diameters approx 30 inch max cut to 2.3m lengths. There is also a mixed b/l block. Any interest pm me.
11.
Makes sense to why they disconnected my fire extinguishers then. Bastards must of got disturbed. Lucky me as they would of done both my harvester and forwarder at same time. Got a name myself but burning isn't normally there calling card.

12. Hi all, Another spanner to add to the dilema, I had 372, 576 over the years and neither compete with a US import 372 xtorq I been using. My advise order one off ebay work out around 650 with postage and tax.
13.

Hi chris,

14. Hi all, Anyone around the Brighton hove area with good hardwood logs? Got an old customer after some, no I've stopped. Cheers
15. Am after a forwarder or agri unit to help with extraction alongside my own units. Approx 600 ton to extract in Canterbury area. More info call 07594290954 Nick.
16. It's a 2005 901.3 with a 350 head. Had it in some oak coppice seems to make short work of that. Will put it through its paces on the spruce clear fell we are moving on too in a few weeks.
17. Update to my original post. After lots of discussion with neuson used machines that were of the age I wanted with lowish hours are non existent and new was not an option at this stage so had to think again. Got a tip about this harvester at a bargain price less than 10k hours and a good solid base machine not the head I would of gone for but I know it's does hard woods well.
18. Have heard that the Waratah is the best head for hardwoods but will see what neuson come back with price wise. Viking ment to be very good heads but not recommended on the machine we are looking at. Logmax may be an issue then if they are big as need quite a compact head for chestnut.
19. Agent for neuson is foretract up in Cumbria not sure who the agent for logmax is. Any idea about the other heads on the list?
20. My choice of heads are: AFM 45, 50 Foresteri F25RN Keto 150 Lako 43HD Logmax 4000, 5000 Waratah HTH250HD, HTH450, HTH460
21. Hopefully going on a neuson ecotec 132hvt. Just gotta decide on what head I want. To many to choose from.
22. Not looked at the afm stroke heads but not sure they will be good for what I want. Have seen the small keto in use quite impressive but stripped a lot of the bark off which is fine in firewood/chip but will also be used in chestnut coppice so need the bark intact as best as possible. Neuson have strongly recommended the logmax 5000 or the 4000 on a long reach machine. Apparently they are a very reliable strong unit.
23. Hi all, looking at new heads for harvesting hardwoods. Anyone know anything about Waratah or Logmax been told these are best bet for what I need.
24. Try r w Powell in Shropshire they have wagons all over the uk hauling all sorts they will be able to help.
25. Hi all, Got loads on and need more cutters must have cs30-31 minimum, ideally with first aid ticket. Can be a semi permanent position for right people. Work all over sussex/kent areas pay dependant on skill training can be given if required. Please call or text only 07595290954. Would rather no pm as don't always pick them up. Nick
