    I really need to stop reading about how much work there is for climbers in Aus! All I want at the moment is to climb for a firm in Australia/maybe move there if it worked out.....     Awesome reply! I think i may have worded my point badly! My point was more that trees in parks and gardens don't offer as much of a habitat to nature/wildlife due to surgical deadwooding, pollarding and in some cases of decay removal! But I am certainly not claiming to be an expert! I think that any necessary pruning work etc carried out in forests/woodland is done using fracture cuts or similar techniques? in order to replicate the natural failure of limbs?

    Every time I go out walking the dogs I'm always looking at trees (sad I know!) and I always think the same sort of thing! Oh that dead lim b could come off, or tops dead in that! I think the thing to remember is the massive difference in the role trees play in a forest, over trees in gardens etc Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    I haven't tried gristwoods yet, just because they're a massive outfit and I Would rather work with a smaller/medium size firm..... If possible!     Hi Everyone! Hope work is busy for all so my hunt for work and experience continues! passd a few chaps working this week so stopped chatted and handed out a few more cards. next on my plan of attack list is email The guys at tree-life!     Paid £500 new, 14" bar and a spare chain to sweeten the deal Didn't really fancy starting drilling holes, advancing ignition and de-restricting carb etc, as the only reason I replaced my 200t was due to reliability issues. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
