  1. Hi All, After some some advice on new vehicle. Currently have a van and a trailer, and want to get a tipper with a body. Thinking something along the lines of cabstar, or Toyota, Isuzu etc etc equivalent. But! How much should I budget!? I would like at least an 04 vehicle, and a decent body with bit of storage. Where should I get body? (I'm in Hertfordshire) any help much appreciated! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  4. Thanks dude, will try this method of knot, I've tried loads! Even tried to tie a variation of the VT where the braides wrap round each other, seems to be the rave in the states. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. Hi All, I've just started climbing on a poison hi-vy rope with a hitch climber, love it! But I'm having a small issue getting the friction knot ( have tried quite a few) to grip up under low tension. In currently using oceana eye to eye 8mm I think. So my question is! Is anyone using the arbpro loop on a thinner line? Does it grip as well as they say!? And can I get it in the uk!!?? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  9. Just passed my cs30/31 (or whatever it's called now!) I used one of my own ms260 mostly, but did get a chance to have a play with the instructors husky 550 and the college's ms261's and I have to say I'd have my ms260 over the ms261 but the husky also over the ms261 Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  15. Cheers Sam and albere! Since this vid I've started clipping main line into a spare snap-crab. I would use my carry tool, but I normally have my daisy chained lanyard through it ! Just ordered 45m poison h-ivy and a hitch-climber! Can't wait Bye bye boring Prussik!
  16. Awesome! Can't wait to get my tickets! I'm hoping to go on a do it all at once course ! I used to rock climb, but when I started arb climbing I just have it up bcos I enjoy working in trees so much!
  17. I should have done a far more in depth description for this video! When i say "first Dismantle"..... i mean more.... first climb.... ever! I have never worked with an Arborist! (not for want of trying!) or been shown how to climb, just kind of taught myself:blink: before this i had never even put on a pair of irons! The ones im wearing are brand new assembled the night before! I'm 22 and run my own grounds maintenance business. Recently (early this year) I did some tree work with a local company, I was hooked!!! Now all I want to do is be a climber! so i decided to get all my own ppe, kit, saws etc and go for it! hoping to be doing my cs30,31,38,39 very soon

  20. Sometimes there is no alternative, Well bar using a cherry picker..... And to be honest I'd rather **** in my hands and clap than go in the basket of death!
  21. Dismantled a completely dead birch a while back, was chunky as hell and as hard as nails! I was unsure at the time whether I felt it was safe to trust it so I stuck my primary line up the hornbeam next too it. so if in doubt don't!
  22. Hi Dan, Just a quick message to say how great your site is! Use it all the time Great vids!!
