  2. :thumbup:Totally agree with all said.. Run "auger torque" unit on a kubota U15, 2bits,6 inch and 12 inch, perfect for both 5x3 motorway spec post and rail and larger auger bit great for 8x8 gate posts.. Just make sure you order the hitch unit with double pin fittings, very handle for moving just where you need it instead a using it to just dangle over the pre-marked hole area...If you dig your hole and stop turning the motor you can easily withdraw from the hole and shake the soil from the bit....very easy machines to use and very powerful too........
  3. Have a look at "Jas p Wilsons website" now doing the "lasco" range of driven trailers...hope that helps....
  4. Very nice unit Eddie, Who is your nearest dealer? had a look at the valtra's a couple of years ago,not tried one yet but still very tempted to have one on demo.....
  5. Thats somewhere over near me, spotted it a few weeks ago parked on a driveway........looks a fair beast....
  6. Try this chap he is at whitby, Chris Kemp, C.M.K plant hire, he specialises in forest ground prep and mounding, roads etc.. 07815 319 967 Top bloke, excellent work.
  7. :thumbup1:LIKED:thumbup1: Really great pics on your facebook page mate, like the landy, looks a fair truck.....
  8. Took down a dead larch for an old lady last weekend, she gave me some brand new tea towels,a box of tea bags (told her the tea she used was lovely) and a big box of apples.. very very random...
  9. :thumbup:Grand looking trailer you have there, like the 956 too, very clean example, what year is she mate?
  10. have a look at this one instead scottrack.co.uk looked at them @APF and they look really great machines....
  11. These sound very similar to the trouble i had a few years back, you will need a Free Flow Return on the back end,non pressurised and very large quick release fittings used to return oil from the system.
  12. jas.p.wilson have a very clean looking one with crane.have a look on there website, hope this helps....
  13. I can admit to getting into a temper tantrum, i was adding an extra piece of wire rope to an already long pull using a farmi wich, the D shackle would not come undone so after hitting it half a dozen times i missed and hit my thumb,so i threw the lump hammer and D shackle into the trees!!!!! took me over an hour to find the pair of them!!!!!!!! Temper Temper.!!!!!!
  14. Hey mate i do flail work,5-5 metre reach machine running it on a jcb fastrac 2170 with 60k gearbox, £26-00 per hour plus Vat. If thats any good for you just let me know... cheers, Jim..
  15. Make sure you try the hydrashift when the tractor is cold, the changes up the hydrashift shoulb not be lumpy or jerky,a smooth change when cold oil should be achieved.Anything your not sure on can be a costly mistake. Check out any major gearbox oil leaks. Most parts are easy to get hold of,all filters are easy to obtain too,Good luck....
  16. Really nice kit there james, How do you like your Mccormick? Is that a new series JD you have there?
  17. Have to agree with Charlie on this one,ATV's are great in the right situation but not great in a wet woodland. At least you can get yourself out of trouble with a tractor winch in most situations and the variety of other work associated with a tractor can easily bring more and more work flooding in for you...Have a try with a nice little alpine tractor on wide tyres and im sure you will be impressed by them.
  18. Thanks Stephen, had some real tricky jobs with the Mowi and it came through shining on every job. The steering drawbar and disc brakes on the trailer are great too. The big lifting power of the crane always suprises me.
  19. Really great cranes, very easy to use,and you don't need to worry about catching pipes or extra rams up the boom. They also have lots of grease nipples on the crane and on the trailer, big bonus to keep things well lubricated.
  20. My Rig working on large windblown Scots pine......
  21. My rig working on large windblown scots pine......
  22. Great if you have soft ground, but you may well fail on any hard ground or solid rock, each to there own though.....
