1.
Howdy Lyncombe....2nd fastrac i have owned in the past 11yrs...i work them hard but also look after them, current unit is a 2170....4wheel steer....cummins 170 engine....goes like a train....my work is very varied, from fencing with bryce suma post knocker(1.6 tons) to pulling mowi forwarder trailer around and low loader plant trailer, snow ploughing....(currently)...round baling...etc etc...great machine, had 2 fendts in between too,but never achieved comfort value the same with those tractors...very agile off road and great top speed of 40mph with current fastrac...great hydraulic power, pto power is awsome....so all in all if your after a great all round machine it has to be the fastrac...ignore what others say about them, you can be your own judge...would have another tomorrow..let me know how you get on...must dash mate im off ploughing...got some 3ft drifts in my neck of the woods....catch ya soon...all the best...jim...aka fastracdude

 2.
How do you find the fastrac mate? I'm thinking of getting one.

 3. +1 Totally agree with the last comments, Safety always has to come first....Whats £60 for a shaft.....its nothing when your life is in the balance...Enjoy what you do and be safe....
 4. I know exactly what you mean about laying barbed wire out for setting up post lines,do it myself unless its FC spec which always has a bottom line wire in place. Be careful when straining HT wire in the cold weather,it can become brittle and snap very easily..As for strut or Box strainer it depends on the ground and on the wire for me....Should be have a few pics of from everyone??? Maybe a new thread....."Show us your Fencing"
 5. Always tighten your netting first, then you know the distance above for your top wires, plus tightening the top wires first can get in the way of tensioning the netting below....Have you tried doing box strainers?? they take up tension better on high tensile and look neater than struts too.....I have always used boundary strainers with 6 metre chains attached to do all my netting...plenty of movement for pulling up at least 300 metres of netting at one pull....
 6. Hey mate where abouts in derbyshire are you??? may be able to help you....let me know ............cheers...
 7. :thumbup:It was'nt brown stuff....ha ha ha ha ha
