  5. Took a bunch of photos a few days ago for a TPO app. SWMBO does the apps for me and calls out "wow, you got a Robin, excellent photo of a nest, how cute". Huh? what nest? Uncanny that these leaves, and the light, made it look exactly like a Robin was sat there.
  6. Might have it there Beardie, the story goes that the old boy whom use to live at the house planted it approx 55 years ago, Im guessing it isnt self-fertile. The inside is un-pollinated as you say, no colour, completely sterile. Interesting, it came up in conversation while quoting today so ill pass on the info. Thanks

  13. Quite annoying, must be a dodgy batch. Todays spray job consisted of watering 98% of the weeds with the last 2% getting the neat solution!
  14. Whats this all about? Rosate 36, mix in correct quantities, shake well, 5 mins later its completely separated and floating on top. Does this in 2 sprayers one was new so no contaminates. Any ideas?
  15. Many thanks for the replies. Ill send them a direct link to this thread for a read, I think everything has been covered. May well be back with further questions.
  16. They believe so, this was backed up by the council.
  17. I have a friend who is in need of some advice regarding the wall surrounding their garden. They live in a cul-de-sac, approx 15 year old properties, they have a 5 ft brick wall around the perimeter of the garden but, on one side, there is also a 6ft wide strip of shrubs which is on their deeds. On the other side of these shrubs is the turning circle for the cul-de-sac. See pic - They would like to remove the wall, and the shrubs, and erect a fence much closer to the roadside. There is no pedestrian footpath. She is under the impression a planning application would be needed? Council dont seem to be very helpful in the matter. Any advice I could offer her/them? Red arrow shows current wall line, blue is proposed.
