How does the points system for infractions work on here?
  2. Heres mine. Modest in size but excellent in performance!!!!
  3. Tx direct is for fabric I wouldnt use that on leather. Nikwax aqueous wax is the way to go on leather boots. Might spoil the look of the suede tho if they are new. But if new shouldnt need proofing.
  4. dmm krabs after a while just don't snap shut, where as my petzl bang shut every time....... Strange...DMM make petzl hardwear, and ISC at the factory in Llanberis. Very likely to a different spec tho......
  5. I have a good relationship with the folks at DMM and I know they are very keen on seeing products that fail and are fantastic to deal with. They revel in the challenge of fixing problems with their gear so that these problems dont crop up in future products.
  6. A row of limes to reduce a hangover? Thats some sour method......think I prefer a pint of berocca and a couple of ibuprofen
  7. David, im going to be brutal. You sound like a chav, mate this, and mate that. You sound pushy and pissed off that nobody is helping you. almost like somebody on here owes you a break. Now, that aside i can tell that you are exceptionally keen and willing to do almost anything to get your foot in the door. like previous posters i think youve got to treat every post you make on here like it is a job application, I know you are dyslexic but spend a minute or two thinking about what you write on any forum, spell check etc can help a lot but if your aim is to find work you need to focus on your positives in a positive way not like you are talking to your mate down the boozer. I was fortunate enough to be made redundant so had a bit of cash to get set up but i still had to get an affordable mower, strimmer, hedgetrimmer and put these tools to work and bit by bit they paid for themselves and then started making me a bit more , which i started getting better gear and then this, if well managed can become a sustainable and profitable little enterprise. David, i completely understand your frustrations and please dont take my opening paragraph the wrong way. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will eventually be an asset to somebodys gang. Good luck la (im a chav too, only were scallies up in Birkenhead)
  8. haha, well im having a few beers tonight so maybe ill be daft enough to do it again a bit later gaz.
  9. i once put an ear bud in a cordless drill chuck for a vigorous cleaning/ear tickling session
  10. I made a gag, in another thread, about using old boot laces, washing line and dog leads tied together for rope. I thought it might lead to an entertaining thread. So.... What have you used on the job (or elsewhere) that is designed for something else entirely? Prizes for the most ridiculous.....no prizes really.
  11. Hmmm. Still cant be sure what it is. Other than the white chalky mildew the tree seems in pretty good shape.
  12. i was thinking it was possibly mildew but what type is what i was wondering. haha its not salt, chalk or cocaine.
  13. Been to look at knocking the top off a large conny. I noticed this white chalky deposit at the base of the stem. Could it be honey fungus in the roots?? My fungi id is not the best so would welcome all input.
  14. Boooo. I get all excited at the thought of a bargain. Guess ill continue with the length of old boot laces, washing line and dog leads that ive been using then haha. Good idea for another thread that
  15. Honey Bros. Just looked for your rigging ropes bargain area and there are no ropes. have i missed out or are they not online yet? cheers Chris.
  16. Ive got MX51 ### on my golf, does anybody think its worth owt to a mazda MX5 or BMW M X5 owner? Purely outta curiosity
  17. depending on whats underfoot i like to hire an aluminium scaffold access tower easy to cut along a few metres then move it along and do the next section.
  18. Great thread! Awesome to see somebody keen to learn not being afraid to just come right out and ask for advice. Good on yer Mike!! Also, fantastic to see some straightforward uncomplicated advice given in a completely un-judgemental way. Ive picked up a few tips too. Good on yer fellas!! :)
