    sciatica

Thanks a lot fellas. I cant take opiate bases pain relief or diazepam because of a job i really want which is based a lot on U.S oil refineries and drugs of that nature are on the banned list (they do very meticulous drug testing) Ill be giving a lot of thought to your suggestions and will be doing the stretches as soon as its not too painful. Im goin to see my gp (hes a musculoskeletal specialist) first thing tomorrow morning and insist that he takes it a bit more further than handing me a script for analgesics and anti inflammatories
  4. As above.... safety of yourself and others is the absolute priority. But a up no matter how small can have a negative spiralling effect on your confidence. If you do the job under the wing of an experienced climber, you do a good job and any mistakes are explained well to you, you can learn heaps and that spiral of confidence will be a positive one and you will end your day buzzing. Goosed, but buzzing!!!
  5. You have just got to be straight up, completely honest with the gaffer. he aught to be grateful hes got an honest employee and you should gain more of his respect for it. If you are up for it, ask if there is any way that he can get somebody else to do it but that you want to do it with this other more experience climber so you can gain a bit more knowledge, experience and confidence. Im quite sure that this way you will be up for and capable of doing jobs like this in the future. Best of luck. :)

    sciatica

I twisted awkwardly last wednesday and gave my sciatica a right good (bad) twang. Was barely mobile for a few days. Up n about now albeit painfully and every movement has to be slow n careful........This aint a 'gimme sympathy for me poorly back' thread. I was just wondering who else gets the occasional bout of chronic sciatica and what alterative methods do you use to relieve it.
  8. There might be a rabbi or two out there that could use his services haha. Hes got skills

    First saw

    550xp or 560xp maybe??
  18. Yeah, sling yr soft bits n bobs in pillow cases preferably button up ones. Try not to fill em more than halfway (difficult with longer ropes) this gives em a bit of room to move which gets a better clean. Bosh em in washing machine with soap flakes not persil/ariel etc on a delicates programme. Then if you really wanna piss the missus off hang it all over the bath to drip dry overnight.

    Tools

Record make decent hand tools. Ive got a boxful of my grandads old record bits n bobs and I expect to be passing them down at some too.
  20. H.B had a deal on skylotec kolibri so went for that, its great so far but has a tendency to want to tip me backwards, maybe after a while and ive adjusted and re-adjusted that may be reduced.
  21. I usually charge per hole/post. £15 for wood and £17.50 for concrete. Plus the cost of panels, posts, postmix and sundries.

I didnt assume other posts had been given infractions..... just, as you said, some can slip thru the net.

I was not trying to create 'further issues' in the slightest. I was genuinely interested in how the points system works.

No complaints about the wrist slap and my post being deleted. There seems to be a lot of other posts still on here that have very blatant and thinly disguised 'bad language' tho. Cheers Steves
