  1. I've convened a preliminary disciplinary hearing with the rest of the crew (more of a pirate council than a Armed Forces Discipline Act kind of scenario) and it has been found that you Sir, are to be confined to "the barrel" until further notice.... Pucker up pretty boy!
  2. No such endeavour would stand a chance of success without me at the helm!
  3. Still in slumberland after a late night Black Panther meeting in the NUS bar Mr C. More sandals, Che Guevara t-shirts, pony tails, real ale and nonsensical idealistic nonsense than any sane (adult) human could ever bare...
  4. What..... France? Fair play the natives can be a bit stand-off-ish and aloof at times (to use a sweeping generalisation), but the food, the countryside, the beaches, the culture and the climate more than compensate for the occasional Gallic shrug.... These feckers are obviously resourceful, determined and ingenious - maybe they’d be better sourcing an old bicycle, a beret, a stripy shirt and a string of onions rather than jumping on a li-lo and embarking upon a life threatening sea passage. If Dempsey and Cropper have chosen to hang their hats there it can’t be all bad!
  5. https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/news/local-news/cornwall-could-lockdown-lifted-before-4058329 It’s not a “one size fits all” mitigation to a national / international problem. The mitigation is very different for a peninsula rural county than it is for a metropolitan city with international air hubs. With movement control at arterial roads, this might not be so daft as the hysterical masses might be encouraged to think.
  6. I’d have thought the sign language would be fairly universal K?
  7. What now? Let me tell you what now. I'ma call a coupla hard, pipe-hittin' niggas, who'll go to work on the homes here with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. You hear me talkin', hillbilly boy? I ain't through with you by a damn sight. I'ma get medieval on your ass.
  8. Just seen first pair in Kernow. Time to cover gear in the sheds then....
  9. Swallows just arrived in Kernow! Just seen first pair.
  10. Where budget & available cash are always a key consideration, please don’t overlook the importance and long term value of including the NPTC maintenance & crosscutting + felling small to medium trees training, and a good set of PPE, in your planning. I’m no fan of over training but these qual’s absolutely will set you on the right trajectory, provide the basis from which you can grow your own experience, provide long term savings in maintenance and allow you to work safely and efficiently. I back this advice with my own personal 100% cash back guarantee. If, after 5 years, you decide I was wrong, just PM me on here with your personal bank details and I’ll arrange a full cash refund of all training costs from my Nigerian bank account (don’t tell HMRC.) Of course, in 5 years time, England may have left the EU, Scotland may have left the UK and the human race may have left the planet earth - but I’ll keep you updated with my Stella bank details so no worries ?
  11. I don’t know if it’s true or not..... But it is funny...
  12. Maybe a long shot after the time lag, but did you get it and do you have any feedback, positive or negative experiences?
  13. That is genuinely hilarious! (but only if the voice in your head says it in a 70’s disco stylie) ”... brothers got goldfish in the souls of his shoes...”
  14. I didn’t want cut & hold. On a lightweight, narrow base machine, I didn’t want the potential to topple it. Plus, the cut only function came with a rotator which is useful for higher topping cuts. Appreciate it’s horses for courses and you know what best suits your needs. ??
  15. Do you want cut & hold or just cut, rotator head or fixed? EXAC1 have good kit: Tree Lopper – Exac-One Ltd WWW.EXAC-ONE.CO.UK Tree Lopper A CUT ABOVE THE CONCEPT Tree Lopper is a range of tree shears designed to suit excavators from... Ive got the tree shear variant - useful piece of kit.
  16. You didn’t need a watch to check for crib time..... The big bore exhausts were like a works siren. Same every morning, straight after Jeremy Kyle show, they’d fire up on the daily outing to Spar for the special brew. Similar in the afternoon, around about 14:00, 4 cans in, the wife & or dog beating would be signalled by the police sirens! ?
  17. It’s gone now mate. Came out last Summer. Timber was from Mont pine at St Budeaux (I know, madness, you wouldn’t think there were any trees in Budox but it was closer to Saltash Passage!) CC on lockdown at mo, no site visits. Any excuse for a “work from home” day off!! ???
  18. Back garden tree house - it felt like it was close to more effort installing it than it was used but there were tears when it came out ?
  19. MAMILs taking over the lanes of Kernow....
  20. Hell Trigger, What’s the turn-around-time? I understood the flash to bang from symptom to rapid deterioration was pretty quick. If they’m already symptomatic how long would it take to get them ashore if things go South?
  21. It comes as no surprise that you’d recognise it Marcus ?
  22. “Time” will always be a flawed measure for dippy eggs. Much more reliable, regardless of size, is the spoon method. You know roughly how long they should cook for, when you think nearly ready, scoop egg out on a spoon, avoiding any excess water on spoon and observe how quickly and consistently the residual moisture on the shell dissipates. You just have to do a couple of trial and error attempts to calibrate your preferences, once established, will never let you down! ????
