  1. What about...... Hagglunds Bv206 Soft Tops - 32824 - Ex Army UK » Ex Military vehicles, Ex. Mod Sales and Nato plant and equipment for sale and export
  2. I hear you brother! Come the glorious revolution only those that WORK will prosper!
  3. HMRC - the current day highwayman Ted! I can't use the expletives I need to to express my utter contempt. If only we had the constitutional right to defend ourselves against the federal government as you do in the States....
  4. It's what got me out of this spot Adam! Kind of like diff lock on a land rover
  5. Absolutely.... I wonder if (a) they have insurance or (b) the person engaging them checked it? I'd be pretty miffed if I (as the homeowner) had to pick up the tab for a contractor I'd engaged being a plumb. My apologies to Vesp for being so cynical as to think it might be anything other than love & peace out there in suburbia! Restored my faith in human nature....... For the time being at least...... Let's see what the weekend brings! Popcorn and beer at the alert!!
  6. Anybody seen this: New VED road tax rules: plan ahead for 2017 UK car tax changes | Auto Express Any thoughts / comments?
  7. Your approach (commendably In an ideal world of love & peace💝) misses out the potential for historical relationship issues between the neighbours and mundane matters of law. Meanwhile back in the bleak reality of suburbia, I see a potential minefield!
  8. That's how I read it Gary.....
  9. Are you doing the work before the tree / property owner has been informed and given consent?
  10. :thumbup1:Be interested to hear how that pans out! keep us posted....
  11. 👍🏻 Yes, I can see in the pics how versatile it is, nice one.
  12. Had a browse on youtube - perhaps grab is ideal for a pole load...
  13. Makes work so much quicker, safer and productive! Nice kit. I was going to ask, did you start with forks then add the grab, or did you go straight in for forks with grab? Just going on your footage there, what advantage does the grab over simple forks offer (apart from the obvious of securing the load) - I'm just interested in the thought process in laying out the extra cash. Then I started wondering why a rotating grab would be an additional advantage, but that's answered in Josh's post. Bloody machines, just too many attachments and not enough cash / storage space!
  14. Hadn't seen that one before so did an image search on google and youtube ( ), looks much like the others in that genre. If the job suits it you'll get addicted!
  15. Maybe not on the part of the bot? I think it's quite interesting, was it simply reflecting back at "us" that which "we" had showed it? Maybe it was a case of too many geeks bombarding it with a certain type of input so as to disproportionately influence the outcome? Or maybe it is a reflection of what people really think but are perhaps suppressed in their ability / willingness to express in 'polite company' because of the oppressive nature of the PC brigade? If they ever release the demographic (age, race, nationality, religion, location, education etc) of the contributors it might shed some light...
  16. First pic looks light on the rear tires! Makes for an exciting drive
  17. Have you heard about this Microsoft AI chatbot? It's had to be pulled from Twitter because it "learned" to be a genocidal racist and apparently favoured Donald Trump! A mirror on humankind perhaps! http://uk.businessinsider.com/microsoft-deletes-racist-genocidal-tweets-from-ai-chatbot-tay-2016-3
  18. (1) The first rule is...... You can't talk about the first rule......? (2) You started talking about it!! (3) That would be a breach of the first rule? Movies are easier than PoF! Dammit, now I'm doing it! There's an obvious and fatal (not in the human sense) flaw in the business plan if you take the "fight club' approach to QTRA promotion! For the OP, I attended the training last year. The venue and facilities were first class and the catering was exceptional. I found the QTRA concept to be thought provoking, interesting and highly credible. The training delivery was exceptionally enthusiastic, engaging and enjoyable. I've used the process since completing the training. I've secured contracts that have had QTRA as a pre-requisite and the initial investment on training has been re-paid within months of completing the course. Only the OP can make the decision if the cost / benefit works for them, or if they think the process is credible. For my part, I'd be happy to say take a punt and see how you get on - I'm glad I did.
  19. Are you trying on phone or laptop/desktop Mick? A couple of folks have said it wouldn't work on their phone? Maybe try here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2apYrTLW6tVxqNpIaINHCA and scroll across until you find it??
  20. It impressed me mashing out some new paths through the bramble & gorse....
  21. A bit of Blue action on a Green thread....
  22. It wasn't a flippant reply Chris despite maybe seeming that way. And probably a bit unfair to the ground worker actually since it would be the project designer / architect that would have to 'buy-in' rather than the bloke that puts the pipe in the ground. I'd guess the problem probably lies in getting someone to have sufficient foresight (and the willingness to build in additional cost at build stage to ameliorate something that might not materialise for 10/20/30/50 years hence (after they've received their Knighthood for services to architecture and before the problem starts to materialise....)) Or even to find enough people to understand the potential for conflict between trees and development....
  23. Not until you find a builder / ground worker that has the slightest interest in anything other than getting to the pub by 5?
