  1. I'm ashamed to say, I'd never actually read much of the inception and history of the US Constitution. Just had a scan through this: https://www.whitehouse.gov/1600/constitution Interesting piece. The opening text "Why a Constitution" put me very much in mind of the early days of the EU.
  2. All of this ^ plus, trying to find a decent one that hasn't been fragged or bodged at anything like a sensible price is a big ask at the moment. Prices are ridiculous.
  3. All you need is a big yellow truck and a length of rope!
  4. 110 + tipp trailer works well but obviously no good if you need to tow the chipper too.
  5. Totally agree. AND the same ID card should extend to eligibility for NHS services. No surprise Labour are wholly against the prospect of proving eligibility and managing effectively the limited resources that are available to the NHS. Of course, there'd be a good deal more money if the resources were only available to entitled persons rather than half of the 3rd world. It seems the 'rest of the world' are quick and proficient enough to levy the bill for UK citizens receiving treatment overseas but that the UK seems incapable. I'd just take the deficit and debit it to the foreign aid budget, job done, extra billions to the NHS, bremoaners 1 less thing to grind their gums over. https://www.nao.org.uk/press-release/recovering-the-cost-of-nhs-treatment-for-overseas-patients/ What a clown! As briefly alluded to in a previous post Ted, we have similar issues with "certain" sections of the community organising electoral fraud and individual intimidation - no surprise, via the mosque.
  6. Do illegal's get a vote? Are they not below the radar so to speak??
  7. I thought I'd seen a fair share of stupidity over the years but since I've been doing the school run I've come to realise it genuinely IS unlimited. It may be that the car owner "always" parks there. An unexploded WW2 bomb wouldn't put them off. People are so unbelievably tunnel visioned!
  8. The quote that this quote quotes (presuming the original has been modded) made me fair spit coffee! No shortage of spirit! 👛👗 with 🏀🏀 😆 Best retort of the year award goes to....
  9. My mate picked them up by the sack load after we'd felled a few big 'uns. Sold them @ £5 / bag as "Victorian kindling" at Cothele Christmas market!
  10. French primary sees Anglophile "centre right" Francois Filon take poll position. A continuation of the apparent political "unexpected?" Potentially a good candidate for Entente Cordiale? Potentially a blocker for Le Pen? http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/11/21/world/europe/francois-fillon-nicolas-sarkozy-france-election.html?_r=0&referer=http://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A9mSs2YleDNYvr0ARhVB4iA5;_ylu=X3oDMTEzZ3V0ZWVxBGNvbG8DaXIyBHBvcwM3BHZ0aWQDTU9VSzAxXzEEc2VjA3Ny/RV=2/RE=1479796902/RO=10/RU=http%3a%2f%2fwww.nytimes.com%2f2016%2f11%2f21%2fworld%2feurope%2ffrancois-fillon-nicolas-sarkozy-france-election.html/RK=0/RS=qHq.6jOvX6AtGfndYST7PzcX7K4-
  11. Yeah, Nov 15 OP. Are you still wearing them and what sort of state are they in?
  12. Doesn't seem to conform to Part 4 of the Traffic Management Act. I doubt you will get an answer because it appears not to conform!
  13. Quite agree Gary. And it's a pity the duty inspector (or above) didn't foresee the screamingly obvious PR fart of arresting and incarcerating pensioners (perhaps age is irrelevant in the eyes of the law, but it's not in the eyes of the public) It's all too easy to look back at how things might been handled better, but when there are highly paid and qualified senior officers in charge, proactive anticipation of operational requirement, appropriate and effective execution of public duties, media handling and prevention of reputational damage are core skills of senior officers which are as important (if not more important) than operational reaction. I hope the PCC is asking serious questions of the Chief officer and his management team who should be seriously navel gazing. Knock on my door at 5AM for an emergency, give me a minute to wake up and gather my thoughts then I'd most likely be supportive and onside. Knock on my door at 5AM for routine works that had intentionally not been notified in advance and it would be a very different story.
  14. The good Prof presents a very poor representation of the situation by deviating from the important matter at hand to promote personal, and frankly irrelevant, partisan politics. A very worthy cause damaged by a very poor article.
  15. There is frequent update narrative on the subject at https://www.facebook.com/Heritage-Tree-Management-573985506028429/?fref=ts
  16. Not a chance Richard.... Not a chance I could explain it that is! As for Le Pen..... If I'd put my money on BREXIT and Trump like I should have done I'd probably be kicking back in the carib-bean right now....
  17. Where is the thread going next.....? Is it too soon to be discussing the odds of Marine Le Pen winning the French Presidential election 2017? Is it in the least bit relevant to this thread or should it be a fresh rant-fest? Does the continuum Brexit-Trump-Le pen exist? Is it gaining momentum? What comes next? I don't really know how to interpret the bookies forecast but I'd bet it's more accurate than the polls which seem to suggest, in equal measure, yes and no, depending upon which publication they are presenting in....
  18. "stick" with it Mr Eggs.... there's an opening in the market for that product! It's got Dragon's Den potential!!
  19. Ummmm, did you mean fungi or TOs Gary???
  20. Where do you buy this tape Mr Eggs?? Bloody useful stuff by the sound of it 😛
  21. Rumour has it, Mr Trump made a personal phone call to ask if Bob would consider coordinating the Presidential transport and logistics portfolio! That plane that says "Trump" on the side..... Well, it was Aspen Blue before Trump had it! 😂😂😂👍🏻
