  1. One thing to think about when looking around the 100bhp mark you can get a tractor from the top of a smaller range or the smallest from a bigger range. Had a 5445 Massey on hire recently which was not an enjoyable time. Run an agrotron 115 normally which is smallest of the range and much nicer even if 10yrs older.
  2. Most likely to be cat 2, mines on cat 3 but that's a deutz thing. You can bush up cat 1 and 2 anyway.

    Flailing

Your normal rate plus what you could be loosing from the other job that you have cancelled if they go elsewhere.
  4. Have got this sat in the log pile, been down a couple of years but still not cut into anything. Based Warwickshire
  5. Have seen these as an option on my deutz tractor, have a look at piton fix hitches. All depends on pin diameter you've got as to whether its for a different type of trailer hitch
  6. It's definitely nice after a heavy day especially teamed with the power barrow or into tractor bucket!
  7. And the thumb....
  8. Have got a standard thumb which goes well with a clay spade, I like this for its simplicity. Thinking of shortening the thumb though so the tips meet for accuracy. Then we've got the timber grab which was cheap and is great for stacking stuff but can be a bit cumbersome.
  9. had a chat to the current supplier/importer at the apf show a while back and was advised as to what was required, has had a few alterations since! Currently looking for a set of decals, not so much "Schiesling" but the safety stuff. Do you (greenmech) supply a generic set as only down the road from us?
  10. Schlesinger chippers don't die, they just get a new coat of paint. Run this one for 15yrs and was used when I bought it. Have looked at replacing it but nothing as heavily built.
  11. Boiler pellets, cat litter, equine bedding and bulk blower loads of cattle bedding all the same product. Spoke to a supplier at pet trade show and she admitted they sold the same product for each use but with different packaging.
  12. Doesn't the 8018 have the extendable track width.
  13. It is amazing what these little things can handle, ours runs chipper, flail, rotavator and log splitter oh and has towed an 8ft roller.
  14. I know where there is one for sale if interested.
  15. We run one of identical pack, probably got smooth faced fittings on power pack and conventional agri on splitter, easy enough to change either. Not sure of size of splitter we've got but powers it ok, bit slower than on the tractor but still goes. Faster return stroke due to ram capacities either side of seals and revs pick up when pressure increases. Splits logs at end of the day!
  16. Found it on eBay, went to pick up a single ram version he'd got advertised but said this was the same price! Win win Will look out the invoice but he did say they were the last few before a new design.
  17. Blooming great! Been out again this week shifting the big lumps and getting the brash as close to the chipper as pos.
  18. Enjoying the digger and grab combo. Just wish we'd had it years ago!
  19. Anyone got or heard of vesta stoves, like the shape but look a bit thin compared to the old villager I grew up with!
  20. Powder! Says grease on the tub and did have me confused when loler chap recommended it but works well.
  21. Graphite grease works well for us, it's a black dust that bits don't stick to like oil etc.
  22. Here's our 540x, was on dry stuff but just cut a narrower swath in the wet.
  23. There you go, did have to cut it in to three though.
  24. That's tomorrow's job, I'll let you know!
  25. Any thing is possible just takes a bit longer!
