  1. Are you sure he didn’t eat the terrier?
  2. What country does he play for?
  3. Our lads have a copy of what the client has, prevents a lot of "Gary said that you'd do... (something extra)". They have some leeway to negotiate a little extra work that might warrant a cupper or £20-30, but if It's going to impact on the days schedule they know to ring me.
  4. It is Stefan, but it is so easy to be focused on achievement and lose sight of that.
  5. A lot of scummy men! Where do you draw the line. I don't know but suspect that most people just think of a rapist as a lone individual perpetrator. What about the 'grooming gangs' that are finally coming to light, where groups of men are involved, What were the figures in Scandinavia for just one night - and whatever they were, bear in mind that those were the only ones reported, it's not unreasonable to expect additional numbers for those that didn't report attacks because of moral, religious or unknown reasons. It doesn't matter how well you think you know people, you only truly know their public persona. I've worked with two guys who were charged and went away for messing with kids. I thought I knew them, I didn't. When it becomes public you wonder what you missed, was there anything, something said, that you should have seen and done something about. What I'm trying to say is that you just don't know, but if statistically the figures say 1 in six, realistically it must be higher.
  6. Missed this first time round Sean, but signed it now.
  7. TBH that's not a huge sample to survey, and you can't really assess whether the fact that you wasn't told means that they hadn't. Some things are never 'shared' by some people, for so many different reasons. I'm not suggesting that your relationships weren't open and honest but some for people history is history and isn't disclosed for oh so many reasons. From my own experience, I'd hazard a guess that 1 jn 6 is an underestimation, and that many, many cases go unreported.
  8. All I did was light the blue touchpaper! Sorry!
  9. I think he'd left his magnum at home, fortunately. He did demonstrate the use of a walking stick against a wild boar charge, should you come across one on Hampstead Heath I'm sure that it would be really effective.
  10. Why am I not surprised? I suspect that you're too well grounded and understanding about what is really important in life to allow the pursuit of business success to spoil personal and family relationships. As soon as I realised that my wife and family were suffering. Finding a happy medium isn't easy, but neither is divorce!
  11. I suppose it depends on who the audience is!
  12. I did. I'm glad one of us got 'cracked up'
  13. I looked it up, before asking, but didn't get anywhere. Thanks for that, every day's a school day.
  14. So what's the cormic? In epicormic.
  15. I think I can spare it Talking to a mature student last week, at Matthecks seminar, who was saying that he was struggling, financially and with time, due to running a business, home and children. Reminded me that I've been lucky, at least financially, in that I'm in a position where I can buy the books I want/need and attend training events without cost being a major barrier. Not being morbid, but I was looking at my bookshelf yesterday and wondering what arrangements to put in place, so that when I go it's sorted out and the missus hasn't got the problem of dealing with it. I don't want them ending up in a charity shop, but rather to be used by people who both appreciate them and would benefit from them. I've said it before, but I'll say it again, if anyone who is studying and is struggling to find/finance books wants to contact me, I'm happy to lend stuff.
  16. Sorting my books, I've realised that I've a second copy of the above. I know it's on lots of reading lists, so I donate it to the first student who PM's me their address and asks for it.
  17. See, patience and praise works... Where's my treat?
  18. Woof!
  19. What type of patients?
  20. Calisthenics Workout, Stubby. Btw, ‘that bloke’ is Claus Mattheck!
