It's pretty much the basic model, Front suspension and heavy duty axle. Yeah fuel tank looks like it would love a good brash mat
  7. How common are these? Seen plenty of wood wasps before but not one of these.

Shiny new tractor, thought I'd share
  10. When cutting full time I'd think of replacing saw yearly, any longer was a bonus or expense
  11. its on the health and safety executive press release 2012
  12. Bit rough I would say, I,m sure most of us cut corners now and again and take risks, but saying that no chainsaw cert means no insurance. We all pay ours.
  13. As Ferguson said prob just a bad run, what age, type and miles is it? Best avoid the G Wagon Big J unless you don't mind the fuel being guzzled about 15 mpg I think for that things
  14. ha ha my favourite... branches point first at the chipper and the odd one in the pile sideways
  15. Have you tried tomatin firewood? Dell Farm House, Tomatin
  16. Punctuality in mornings, Very little costly mistakes (can't avoid them all) and the main one Common Sense.

    Milk it

Plenty tractors to have chosen, Case, Massey, JCB, New Holland, McCormick, Cat are or were made here, loads more older ones also.

    Milk it

I think most if not everyone would be willing to pay more for their milk and keep the dairy farms running,, I also think everyone would be gob smacked at just how much subsidies, grants and aid most farms are given.
  19. If its under 14230kg all in ( tractor + trailer + load ) you don't need brakes, If its over the brakes on trailer must work when you push brake pedal in tractor.
  20. Gross weight with braked trailer ( Tractor+trailer+load ) 24,390kg, which means the smaller the tractor the more you can tow. Gross weight unbraked is 14,230kg. No UK or EU type approval standards for trailer. Only indicators needed as long as only used in daylight. 3m width restriction, don't leave mud on road and don't exceed 20mph ( not that you could)
  21. Suppose it depends on if they leave it til there days off and how much they are drinking....... who's drinking during daytime tho???? apart from MPs
  22. My opinion is if people are receiving money taken from tax money they should be out doing something rather than nothing. I've heard boys whinging about having no money on the dole whilst in the pub drinking, and heard them tell everyone they would do anything work wise as long as they were working but just can't get the break for a job, same ones that told me straight to my face that they don't want any work from me but could you sign this to tell the dole office I was asking and was looking for work, I may jump to conclusions and use the same tar brush sometimes.
  23. Come on argue with me.... Not the response I was expecting but fair do's, clears it up plainly (and politely). Do you agree with getting people on the dole out and working, if done properly??
  24. You're right and I totally agree with it but on the other hand it has to be handled with care so as not to take work away from others. Picking and choosing what is right is the hard bit.
  25. How would you work out he is on more than minimum wage ?? Going on gnarlyoak calculations of £243.20 per week. I would say someone who is on all the stuff jsa/hb/ct I would guess it would approx be £71.50/£91/£18 for a single person which is £180.50 per week. I have not included his fuel allowance as it comes out of this anyway and didn't cover it. Its not so straight forward and hard to go by set figures for council tax, housing benefits etc as there all different. You need to add the £30 travelling expenses as its extra though, someone on min wage is taking home less than £185 based on a 38 hr week prob even less once N.I is deducted. My main stay though Ian is its 4 weeks, think he said 4 day week:confused1: some schemes are only 30 hr weeks. Don't know maybe being too harsh. Would be no incentive to find work if pay was decent.
