  1. The bay. After watching that you will never go in the sea again....
  2. Ha sorry. Been very busy. I've got the engine. Came from a crosser. 250cc water cooled. I have drawn up plans for the framework. I have managed to get the whole bike for 60 quid. So the framework will be demolished to make the frame. I do need a nice bar, looking at the biggest chain I can get, a forester bar just won't be happening. So looking at a 36" bar. Will try and get some pics when I get the time.
  3. Sarcasm gets you know where.......
  4. I was just trying to make a point that suggesting to a new user to get a saw ported without them using for a while first was not the best of ideas. If hey decide the saw could do with a bit of tweaking then fine that's down to them. Spud does a good job at what he does, so does pete. And I'm sure they would also suggest that a new user would need to get used to his saw before making any major changes to it. The husky naturally runs faster than a stihl but it lacks the power of a stihl. Anyway slight derail. My fault.
  5. Yeah didn't you know that all council tenants are thieves......... (I do live in a council house by the way)
  6. Urm. Just to point out first. I think your post was not very well thought out, he is a new user, so with this in mind I'm thinking he is not familiar with a chainsaw in the pro world. Therefore he is not used to a saw, when felling trees it could be very easy to cut too far with a faster saw. This could result in a dangerous situation. If he was a pro user I would have no issue with this but he is not he is new. Yes it may be more efficient, if you are used to a saw. Sorry but I'm standing my ground, he is new, your post over getting a saw ported was idiotic IMO. I wounder if you would have said this to a homeowner aswell....
  7. That's right tell a new user to get his saw ported. Should be a nice thread to start after called "my new saw bit me" :001_rolleyes:
  8. That is AWSEOME. Love it.
  9. Must be show season again. I remember last year everyone up north moaning about there being no shows near them.
  10. Ah the old common problem, Yeah I need to sweeten the other up for a hall pass for the night. Havnt asked her yet. Check the gap on the plug, also check ht lead is in good nick aswell.
  11. Your very welcome. Are you camping up there? I'm looking at it but not sure what gear I've got left after the winter. Might need to go shopping.
  12. Just like the domestic mowers. One handle you hold for start/stop and one for forward if its equipped. First check would be if the cable is doing anything, follow the cable to the engine and check its operation on the engine. Next step is removing the covers to get to flywheel. Sorry I have said before I'm crap at writing things down on this forum for people to explain... Edit just seen your post. Ok, it should feel very free when held. Check the cable and its operation. I can't remember what the adjustment is on them. As they seem to get changed. I've had three all with different cables on them.
  13. That's the one. Had a few in before with the same problem. It was broken. Give a very good impression of being seized. You need to find it and see if its working properly. By the way these engines don't semi seize. They either stick fast or fall to bits inside.
  14. Ok. The Flymo has a clutch on it. When you pull the cord or turn the engine does the blade turn. This can give the impression that the engine is seizing up. Is there a handle on the top. It's like the stop start handle on the domestic mowers that acts as a clutch.

    D day

It's on again tonight. A catch up of today. It was interesting and I even managed to get the kids to sit down with it last night. They learned a lot. One didn't even know what ww2 was. "Havnt learned about that in school" he said...... WTF.

    D day

It is good. It's how they get the exact time from the pictures I found fascinating.
  17. It's fine. They have Harris fencing. Nothing can break through that.............. It's not there gear, what do they care.

    D day

Anyon else watching the d day stuff on telly tonight. I'm stuck on channel five watching the d day ultimate conflict. It's very interesting. I knew some stuff from it all from previous programmes, but I've just found out a load more. Some good telly tonight.
  19. Yeah there normally the ones that have never been on an accident but have seen plenty in the mirror...
  20. Yes they do. Pm sent for you. You can bench test the starter. I would look into the wiring before taking the thing apart.
  21. Depends if the copper is having a bad day. I hate middle lane hoggers, and yes I do see them as a risk. I normally drive my disco up the motorway at 65, a nice cruising speed. Also mean I have to overtake lorry s, and if someone is sitting in middle lane guaranteed they will sit by my side until I have to slow or speed up to get round them. I have nearly broadsided a car before, they soon moved over. Best one was an old bloke in middle lane reading the paper on his lap. I went past in outside lane and a copper cruised up to him in middle, he was too busy looking at me giving him the finger and laughing at him to see the copper. I then pointed to his left. It infuriates me.
  22. Could be the flywheel key. Does it even try and turn, or not. If the flywheel key has gone ad the flywheel is a few degrees out it will try and fire wrong. Strange that without the plug in it turns. I would turn it back on the flywheel a bit and then try the key. If it pushes the engine up ad then stops try the flywheel. Other than that he starter may be worn and turning it to compression and not having the oomph to keep turning it.
  23. I want the bus. That looks awesome.
  24. Well I guess that's about it then. Report it to ebay and I would send a message to the ended one so they know someone has copied there add.
