  1. Hi All, Just jumping on the bandwagon with this post but I have 3 weeks of similar work near Wareham, Dorset, last week of Feb and first 2 weeks of March. looking for 2-3 guys to bulk out the team. £100 per day + bonus if completed ahead of schedule. 2. Thanks for the detailed responses guys, especially for your very long post Eddie. I am aware that my budget makes the search for machines a bit limiting however I have already looked at a few that don't seem too beaten up. If I were to get a machine with aux controls on the foot pedals is it possible to convert to using a rocker switch/ roller on the joysticks, similar to in a forwarder for sensible money or it is out of the question. I like the Cat 308ccr, it seems like you get quite a lot of machine for your money with one of those, has anyone driven one on a regular basis?
  3. Hi all, looking at buying a 8t excavator in the new year and looking for some input as to the machines to avoid or seek out. Looking to spend around the £20 K mark so machines are likely to be around 10 years old. The machine will be used with a selector/demo grab for burning up on scrub jobs and moving timber in the woods, some ride building and possibly in the future being fitted with a tree shear or smaller harvester head. So far the wish list comprises of: Zero tail, Piped for aux hydraulics at the head, preferably with controls on the joystick instead of foot pedal Steel tracks Low hours and operator owned machine I have used some of the newer kubotas and didn't really rate them but that could have just been the hire machines we had. I like the look of the JCB JZ70 as they look to have a much stronger boom design than he 8080 etc however happy to be proved wrong on that.
  4. We are looking for a 360 Digger operator for works over the next couple of months. Most works will be burning up but there will be a small amount of ride building as well. MUST have a qualification to operate 360 machines, chainsaw would also be very useful. PM, Email or call me to discuss further We are based Nr Gatwick and all work is within 1hr [email protected] 07896 036 437

Good access, need to get moved ASAP so first realistic price will get them. Please PM, Call or Email me with offers Thanks David [email protected] 07896 036 437

  9. At first I thought it may be possible but I cant find anyone who can source something the same. I will try and put some pictures up later on this afternoon to see if anyone has any ideas. Other that this it is a great little machine and I dont really want to see it go.
  10. From what I can tell the overload relief valve is knackered, I'm not an expert on hydraulic systems so this has come from a mechanic and the people at the parts store, but their diagnosis seems to make sense to me. I cannot source the new valve alone as it only comes as part of the block and this is looking at over £4k + a 4 month wait while it comes over by cargo ship.
  11. Hi All, I am wondering if anyone is breaking a Hanix h22b or similar machine at the moment, I have a hydraulic problem on mine and it is looking impossible to source parts without costing more than the machine is worth. Failing that would anyone be interested in parts from mine, it has a full cab and everything apart from the valve block is functioning perfectly, full cab with heater, good 3cyl isuzu engine, good arm and pins etc. Cheers for reading

  13. One of the padlocks was smashed off, presumably by getting a pry bar inside the gap, the others had the hasps cut through. They were not in shrouds, however I have now ordered a set of shrouds for all of the locks, and fitted a new alarm system and a few other bits.

  17. I have a 2004 Hanix excavator that has developed a fault constantly blowing the option fuse and loosing control of the joysticks. I have traced back the loom and tested each part except the attached picture. The parts manual says it is the Valve solenoid. My questions are: What is its role? should it get very, very hot, when the rest of the valve block is cold? how can I test it and if it is knackered are they universal or would it have to be a manufacturer part? Thanks in advance
  18. Thanks for that, What unit would the FMOC cover? And I suppose that would bring me back to the question, anyone around this way able to assess FMOC Excavator?
  19. Do they do a certificate of competency or is it the whole CPSC card, only will be used with a grapple for burning up so a lot of the cpsc is pointless
  20. Looking for suggestions for someone that can assess/train a few guys for a competency certificate in <10T 360 excavator and possibly using a tractor? we are based in near to Gatwick and can provide a site and machine. Cheers
  21. Sorry Will, Sold around 5 months ago, Pm me with your location and what you are after and I might be able to sort something out Thanks Dave
  22. Cheers for the replies guys. Steve- What are the maintenence and repairs like for bits of kit like this, is it something that can be done by myself or should the be periodically sent away to a specialist? Cheers
  23. Hi All, Looking to pick up a welder generator set up, second hand and around the £1500 mark. Main reason would be to take it on site for welding repair to save hauling kit back to the yard whenever something falls off. Secondly my new workshop has a very sketchy power supply that wont take running my mig (Tecarc 211) so I would like to be able to put it next door and power the mig, chopsaw plasma cutter etc. 3ph is not essential but if it has it I suppose it could be useful in the future. I have been looking at some of the MOSA units but is there any others worth looking at in my price range? Cheers
