  1. Yea . Must have at least had a snorkel . 2.7 black cab engine ?
  2. On a manual box 50 is not quite the sweet spot in top gear (6th) . Its not exactly laboring but get it up to 56-58 and you can back off the throttle and hold it at that speed on the dead flat with no head wind .
  3. My 71 plate Navara says , on the computer , that its averaging 34.7 . Not much towing and the occasional buck full of logs . It has a " Tunit " box though , which is supposed to give more power and torque and better fuel economy . I know it sounds bonkers but it does .
  4. Raquel Welch has died . Loved her . An Icon now I suppose . One million years BC poster .
  5. That hump in the bonnet , was that the air intake for the turbo ?

Yep I always prefer a chain with about 3 sharpenings left in it .
  7. Based on some Ash trees near me ( that have just blown over with no targets ) with the same sort of degradation that yours display I would have it down . just me .

Thought so . So the only possible reduction in drag is the narrow drivers in the narrow bar groove . Marginal I would have thought plus the whole set up is weaker .

But ....arn't the actual cutters the same width and its just the drivers that are narrower ? Thought I read that on here somewhere .
  10. That's the first thing I remove when I buy a new saw . 🙂
  11. I got £750 for my 3120 with a 56" Canon bar , if that's an indicator ...?
  12. I would say , as others have , there is a mixture of species . Mostly Ash and Oak and what looks looks one piece of Holm Oak . The bit with the greenish gnarly bark .
  13. Probably the Harry Potter Ford Anglia .🙂
  14. Mine is an early batch but without going to get it I can't give you any numbers . It was very temperamental in the beginning. Hot start was a pain and it would sometimes cut out mid cut ! It had some things done under warranty , a new carb and a hotter plug . This was all in the first couple of weeks . I then sent it to Petemate who ports saws and he did some stuff to it and from then on it was totally reliable .
  15. It could be a corroded connection on the solenoid that activates them . Had that on a Jensen A 540 .
  16. I can't say from experience as I have never had either Mk1 or Mk2 . Just from other peeps reports that the Mk2 is better all round and more reliable I don't need one as I still have a spud ported 346 . 🙂
  17. Odd innit ? my 2011 560 is still going strong . Tweaked by petemate on here though .
  18. I thought it was the other way round . The Mk2 being a much better saw ..
  19. You know I have a goodun 😜
  20. No no no no . Mark said thread over FFS !
  21. Yes Mick , you can have that one , fare game for my typo ! 🙂 Don't know how to edit the title ??? ....Sorted .
  22. Anyone see it ? My missus served in Surrey and West Sussex and could not watch it . Brought it all home for her .
