  1. Ok . I worked on a fern leaved beech once . Some of the lower branches had been cut and when it sprouted it reverted to the original standard leaf . Was odd to look at .
  2. Don't sugar coat it Joe , tell it like it is FFS 🙂
  3. Bit like the Husqvarna 365Xtorque and 372Xtorque . Same saw . Just got some restrictor fins in the transfer covers . Take the covers off , grind of the fins and " shazam " a 372Xtorque .
  4. Fcuk . Big up to you for telling all . That aside I do sincerely hope you make the best recovery you possibly can matey . Don't forget you missus will be entitled to some sort of payment for being your carer , I think .
  5. No it doesn't matter but if they are all a similar length is that not a bit of a neater trick ? Like chuck two logs on the stove or chuck one log and then three smaller bits , Oh I don't care do what ever 😁
  6. Or just cut them in half without measuring anything .
  7. I would not " shorten them ", you just end up with lots of little stubby bits . Just cut them in half on a band saw or table saw . Same number of cuts and no need to measure anything .
  8. The next one up in the range is the 8kw I think . Looks the same just bigger . Check it out . Might fit your logs .
  9. Oh no , not cod wood 😄
  10. The processor is set to 11and1/4inches purely to let me get 2x rows with an air gap in my log stores . They fit ok in the stove .
  11. Burley Hollywell 5kw nominal but punts out a bit more on full chat . Very simple to use
  12. " Chopping " down a tree with a saw . Be much easier if you started it up and cut it down . 🙂
  13. Time served tool maker C+G engineering cert back in the day so I understand the mechanics of it . I know you like to be a bit pedantic about the cause but " stretch " is a convenient term for most ordinary Joes to convey whats happened . I hate it when people say some thing is " hydroscopic " when in fact its hygroscopic ( as in nylon absorbing moisture . 🙂
  14. I understand what you say Pleasant and I agree with you . I never used the word stretch , or even the word wear . I just say its got longer 🙂
  15. I'm not mistaking anything . Just agreeing with Mick that the chain is now longer . Its definitely not shorter . 🙂
  16. He would describe it as he has above but as you rightly say Mick . The fecker is longer no two ways about it !
  17. I think any " waterproof / breathable " jacket is always a compromise . They lean towards one or the other . For keeping rain out you need oil skins for keeping cool its a string vest . .
  18. Yep . A belt linsher is what I use .
  19. You have to type the @ up against the user name with no space @Macpherson
  20. Not so sure about this . I am a big fan of alkylate fuels but some 4 stroke engines still have rubber components in the fuel system so the same reasoning could apply .
