  1. 10 mins drive . Sometimes just go for a cuppa and a chat .
  2. One of my spaniels was gun shy and it was a bit of a problem until she went deaf in later years . There are potions for calming I think . The woman that takes a puppy training class plays a recording of fire works to the young dogs and plays with them and makes a game out of it rather than comfort them making them see it as not a threat or anything to be afraid of .
  3. I don't jump through any hoops . I just by some aspen from my local dealer as I would say chain oil or strimmer cord .
  4. Nice to hear a good word for the D22 . Mine has been exceptional . Just change the oil and filter every 6K .
  5. Didn't split it with the screw driver ...possibly ?
  6. Good point well made Andrew .
  7. Maybe you are not aware of a problem as you see things as the norm just how they are for you . But , that saw that finally gave up back in whenever may still be going now if run on Aspen . .......possibly
  8. Ok thanks . Can you filter out the ethanol from 60 gallons of premium grade pump fuel for me . Cheers ever so .
  9. Yep that would be much more convenient than buying Aspen . Wish Id thought of that .....
  10. The boot may be split and you cant see it untill you pull it and stretch it this wasy and that . Try a new boot .
  11. The first lots of Aspen did have a "chip shop " smell due to the type of oil mixed I believe . The latest stuff as no smell at all it seems to me .
  12. In the last 25 years there was not ethanol in the pump fuel that there is today .
  13. If you " Never had any problem with any of my saws re. Fuel " why did you have to solve a problem ?
  14. Yep . Not joking I really did do it . Only to my 395 as it has stood for a long time with pump fuel . All the other saws , 346 , 372 , 390 (all spud ported ) I just changed all the hoses , carb diaphragms and intake rubbers . 560 and 540 I left them as they were as they had not seen that much pump fuel . Belt and braces precautions I know but hey .
  15. This is what I did ( including crank seals ) and everything is like brand new . Its the way forward I am convinced . Just wish it was around when I was full time cutting . Retired from cuttin g now but all saws are " Aspiniezed "
  16. Plastic pipe cutter possibly ? Naa . scrub that . Nut cracker ?
  17. Do the handles unfold through 180 degrees for use ?
