  4. When mine has been alight for an hour or so I cant see any visible smoke from the chimney .
  5. True , he did that . It would be way to hot in our drum if I lit it now . Got to be single figures out side .
  6. Freezing , now , in Surrey ? its 18c at 8.00pm over the border here in West Sussex !
  7. And then in an hours time when matey comes a calling there wont be any smoke/steam coz the stove will be up to temp and burning efficiently .

  9. Would that be pleached Steve ? My granddad had pleached pear trees along one wall that he did himself . I was only 5 or 6 years old and always wondered how they grew like that !
  10. Nope . Nowhere have I said that . What I am saying is it is un policeable what ever way you want to work it .
  11. But if the responsibility lies with the retailer to keep it below 20% having the manufacturers address wont help .
  12. Its got to be single figures out side for the stove to be lit otherwise it gets tooooooo hot indoors .
  13. Then what would the point of showing the address of the manufacturer ?
  14. What if the producer netted up kiln dried at sub 20% and dispatched it only for it t take up moisture at the garden center/garage for court or whatever ?

  16. The limb growing from the main stem above his head saved him from getting a hefty great bosh on top of his swede .
