    I think it will be the 44.1 mm dia piston . The bigger size is 44.3 I think .

    I have seen a 346 with a 353 pot and piston on it . It will have open ports if it is .

    Yea sorry about the 357 confusion . I keep doing that . As Steve says its an age thing ☺️ Another possibility is ....its not impossible to drill and tap for a decomp in the older 45cc pot as ther is a flat land cast into it were it would go but I can't see why anyone would as they are not that hard to pull over . Bit like the old 242XP .

    No . There was a model that had an auto de comp ( a hose pipe connected were you have circled ) that went to the crank case . This was not popular and could be converted to a normal de comp ( as you have ) by removing the hose and crimping / blocking were it went into the crank case and fitting what you have . At the end of the day , if it runs and cuts and works for you I would not worry about it . I was just curious thatr all . I don't think it had a primer on the auto decomp model ..

    You could not fit a " non primer bulb " cover to a machine that does have a primer bulb . It would not fit . Yes that is the decomp button you have circled .
