  1. Don't ruin it rover !
  2. Beast of a man.
  3. Sort of explains alot doesn't it ?
  4. lol!! A 90 with all the whistles and bells on it has been parked outside my house for the last week by the guy doing the neighbours decking . I couldn't resist any longer and went round the workers asking whos it was . Out pops an extra from Deliverance and an hour later my head was filled with a minefield of information!! Top guy though.
  5. Dont underestimate getting your chemical spraying ticket cartman. I'm convinced its a sure ' backdoor ' ticket into the arbwork . The big arb companies will be fighting over you come spring time if you have this ticket. But you will have the master plan!
  6. Its alot worse than the Defenders. I was definetely shocked when i test drove the defender though for being such a short coupled vehicle. Sorry for going off thread but i bought my first edition of Land Rover Monthly and get the feeling I'm entering a different world.
  7. Its ironic isnt it that these students are going to be heads of state , law makers etc .... makes you wonder.
  8. Agree with you on the horrendous turning circle ( you will definetely get some funny looks from car drivers) . also on the fuel economy its surprisingly been the only positive thing about it. Land Rover is not looking too good on that front unfortunately.
  9. Yeah , mines gonna see the bottom of a quarry soon .
  10. The new ' Barbarian ' looks like a different animal though, will be interestind to hear some reviews on it.
  11. Sounds like his legacy will live on Taupo.
  12. Its simply not built to be a serious work vehicle imo. there again that wasn't the question.
  13. Thats possibly the worlds biggest salt lick !!
  14. Wow . This is alot more common than i envisaged. Next time i've got my flipline round me i'll be thinking **** , am i in the circle of death ? Don't know if you can think negatively like that but certainly a timely reminder! Good post
  15. Beautiful piece.
  16. Please Please STOP THERE!!!! Got a 03 Warrior just over 5 years ago and its been far and away the worst car/4x4 i have ever had the misfortune to own. Bit ironic previous post saying bodywork paper thin as it is the bodywork which is holding the chassis together. Too many problems to list. Have just bought a 90 Defender which i cant really afford but need something to come back from the garage with a clean slate. It can't really get any worse.
  17. Agreed , very nice and a great tip
  18. I was jumping about a few weeks ago at the sound of my new stihl pole pruner. The wife just didn't get it
  19. I couldn't pay him high enough of a compliment he hasn't paid to himself.
  20. Way too close to the house imo.
  21. Did absolutely no wrong in letting nature take its course. Its the way of the world I'm afraid.
  22. Yeah the RSPB don't take anything to do with injured birds ( despite their financial position ) Its down to small volunteer local wildlife centres, but that bird looked in a bad way . I once rescued a Tawny owl caught up on old fishing gut which recovered but also found a short-eared owl on the road , very similar to your situation. Unfortunately it had broken its back and had to be euthanased.
  23. Looks from your photos to be concussed , i think its fair to say its been glanced by a vehicle. If it didn't put up much of a fight its in a bad way. Do you know the outcome?
  24. Brilliant photo. I can never remember what one of the sexes says Twit and what one says Twoo !
  25. I've said as much on a similar thread. Guys turning up with the latest gear , fresh out of college with no experience , turning up at a big arb company . Let the fun begin ! Its not about racking up every ticket available at this stage but a gradual process of learning and confidence building. I for one can remember my boss taking me to the side and handing me a big box of new climbing kit when i passed the course and how that felt inside. I feel some of the new starts on here (hopefully not cartman) want to run before they can walk and don't realise what their actually missing out on. Good luck cartman I've no doubt youll get sorted soon.
