  1. Yeah, you get a free forklift truck to pick it up and sat-nav to find your way home!!
  2. Not looking for a house Sam, the apartment was in South Bank i am told . Wife is back out there working after the hols for a while and intends to get out a bit farther than the city centre. She said the botanical gardens were beautiful and the trees magnificent.
  3. Their healthy if they get away from dogs 100%. There is no gaurantee of this if shot at. When it comes to humane pest control methods there is just no easy way round about it. You have a right to be aggrieved at the attitude of some of the red coat brigade but i can gaurantee you it extends to ALL countrysports.
  4. New 50cc husky comes out in spring apparently, hang on if you can!!
  5. Are you really that bothered about the car being thrown in ?
  6. As above, very difficult to give concrete advice here but it could be worth sticking a winch on the rootplate to tension the top side and make absolute certain that root plate goes back to where it came. That rootplate could easily kill you.
  7. 1 bed flat ( nothing special ) $435,000.. bottle cider $15. tin beans over$2. ice skating session $30. Take plenty of money would be my advice !!
  8. My wife got back from Melbourne last week and said it was easily the most expensive place she has been . The cost of living over there must be scandalous and quite prohibitive now for people wanting to relocate.
  9. For gods sake guys , get in there!!!!!
  10. Thanks Guss , I'll pm you and see if your gadget can come up with anything.
  11. Our '03 warrior has done this since we bought it 6 years ago. What happens is that when you drop a gear to overtake or put alot of power on when towing for example all the crap seems to build up inside and the power drops and drops away until you eventually have to pull over and stop for a few minutes. When you restart the engine a pile of black smoke and debris plumes out the exhaust and the engine management light should go out. Weve never managed to resolve it so cant tow anything which was one of the reasons we bought it in the first place . Hope someone on here can provide an answer as it would provide some positive in what has been a huge mistake on my part but appreciate some on here like them.
  12. I really admire your honesty here Arborist, took a bit of guts to post this. Your right in that you see some heinous things in the hunting world. I am also ashamed with one or two of my actions years ago but Have witnessed equally shocking things in the equestrian scene aswell. Its the individual concerned not the activity thats the problem. As you get older you become much less tolerant of ' the idiot brigade ' i find and just surround yourself with decent people. Dont give up on the dogs buddy cause they will never give up on you .
  13. Happy xmas toprotter and to your little lucas terrier!!
  14. Brilliant.. What sort of things did youse do Guss ?
  15. When i first read that i thought you wanted a picture of a SLAG !!! Merry xmas nlj
  16. Roald Amundsen the first man to reach the south pole learned from the Inuit not to eat seal or polar bear liver because of the toxicity levels of vitamin A. In some of the fictional documentaries he is quoted as saying ' I wont eat what the dogs wont eat '.
  17. This post made me look up the story regarding the death of the Dumbarton football captain couple of years ago at a 4x4 event in Dingwall. The vehicle brought down powerlines , BUT it said he was electrocuted after he pulled himself from the vehicle , possibly reiterating the safety message here of staying in your cab.
  18. This BARF diet really seems to be gaining in popularity and i didn't realise there are big suppliers now. P.S Love the photos of the lakelands and borders , I have a plummer terrier bitch .
  19. Would be interesting to find out what fungi are the last to die off at the approach of an ice age and the first to re-emerge as it ends.
  20. It amazes me , after all the argy bargy they have on the roads there never is a punch up. Could you imagine that over here ? It seems to be a ritual for them to get out and argue. Good series but probably preferred the alaskan roads.
  21. Minced onion as PART of the diet incidently! Remember eating solely rabbit will eventually kill you aswell!
  22. From the legend that is George Curtis the trainer of Ballyregan Bob , the greatest dog of all time . A man who Knows more about canine athletes than all of us put together.
  23. The greatest mammalian athlete that has ever lived ' the greyhound ' is fed a little cooked but mainly raw minced cabbage, onion and carrots as part of its daily diet.
