  1. I had one years ago and it constantly over heated. So much so I drilled large holes about 2inch diameter with a hole saw in the sides of the cowling and fitted a fine mesh behind them. Not pretty but it did work.
  2. Pulling stumps with tirfors is hard graft. Choose your anchor wisely and get a very sharp axe. You could also use in conjunction with a hi lift jack. Or just grind the pig!!
  3. As said they don't look DIY trees. But if you feel confidant in your self then spend some time on the net learning(a) to be safe and (b) pruning cuts and techniques. Cracked kinds like you've described can be very nasty and are unpredictable to an inexperienced operative. If in doubt call someone in and please stay safe! Good luck
  4. Being a rover it was probably parked there by some old giffer!!
  5. I'm going to check the four horsemen of the apocalypse have done their risk assessments before proceeding!
  6. I used to say 'to make way for the by-pass' .... some actually saw the funny side of it!!
  7. Lister wilder were also offering something similar if IRC!
  8. I used a transit county years ago and it wasn't great. We had a few front drive shaft issues when turning on full lock. At the time the county was only a few months old so god knows how one would perform years down the line. As others have said (although it pains me to say) try a landy. But be warned you will start getting land rover crap like tea towels for Christmas. ;-)
  9. I use a 190cfm compressor for my airspade from my local hire company for £48 for 2 days hire. As for ppe I use this Does a good job for £15 and allows room for dust masks underneath.
  10. Check out the fera YouTube guides on this and other nasty's lurking!
  11. Which one... I had a lt35 tipper and it looked overloaded empty!
  12. I just carried out a thorough Loler examination yesterday and one of the climbers harnesses bridges was exactly the same!! The worrying part is why did I find it and not the climber!!
  13. Decathlon do breathable t shirts like the strech air for about £8..lots of colours etc. Last quite well too
  14. Apparently Treelife don't make anything on this as Bs take most of the money!!
