Keep the listing in your watched list and wait till the seller/buyer leaves feedback. Then you know who the buyer is. Ive dont this before and contacted the buyer telling them they have paid £500 for a 70 quid saw. Even though the guy left + feedback he contacted the seller, got ebay and paypal involved and got his money back.
  2. Should be http://www.bumblebeeauctions.co.uk
  3. look on bumblebeeauctions.com there are a few items that match your description of stolen saws in the tool section. police auction site where they sell stuff off that they cant find the owner.
  4. lots of machinery listed on Bumblebee Auctions to do with tree and hedge work most items are located in the Newbury area
  5. 8 week turnaround on service and 6 weeks in the grinding shop, why peolpe leave it so late is beyond me, 4 lads doing nothing but service mowers 9 hours a day solid. Two weeks ago we were struggling for things to do.
  6. BP petrol 5 litres, one shot bottle of stihl two stroke oil, never had a problem in 10 years, even old fuel from service saws and hedgecutters goes in my own personal use mowers. Never ever had a problem, ive a komatsu brushcutter that gets used twice a year that runs on stihl mix. five months over winter its sat with mix in the tank and never fails to start or complete the days work.
  7. If your confident enough, take it apart and check the inpulse line, inlet manifold and fuel line. Sounds to me like you have a hole in one of them, if you are unsure take it for a professional to look at.
  8. ive no idea, the police station selling it is listed on the side of the page, try to get intoucg with them. Hope its yours and they can do something about it.
  9. There is an Ms200T on the police auction site Bumblebee Auctions just wondered if anyone recognised it as theirs as its all found stolen property sold on this site.
  10. Im in need of a coil for a 084, has anyone got a spare they are willing to sell or know where i can get one?
  11. ASchrader valve is a one way valve exactly the same as the valve in car tyres, you need a compression tester with one of these fitted to use on two stroke engines.
  12. How much are you wanting to spend? are you good with mechanics of a chainsaw? if not buy a runner. Ive had people buy non runners off ebay then bring them to me to be fixed and by the time everything has been factored in it would have been cheaper and easier to buy one that works off a reputable seller on ebay.
  13. Fuel coming out the back of the carb whilst the saw is running and into the airfilter is a sign of worn piston skirts.
  14. Last night in pub, a guy asks me if i can have a look at his saw. He says its not running right. This morning he drops it off and it is a 025 1998 model in worse shape than some saws ive parted out. P+C are immaculate, Case is burned up due to brake being left on, clutch is on its last legs, rear handle is held together by tape, leaking bar oil and the starter handle is a piece of wood. This guy is a local legend who has no spare money at all, but he knows everybody in a 10 mile radius, i can throw lots of used parts at it and give him it back as a full working saw or i can tell him its absolutely knackered and give him it back in the same shape he gave me. My thinking is to repair it and charge him next to nothing as his word of mouth must be worth more than a full page advert in the local paper.
  15. The high court took the banks side and said that they dont have to pay out, if you were lucky enough to get in when it was first talked about 6/7 years ago they paid out, but when everyone jumped on it the banks stopped and it went to court and the banks won. Only thing you can claim from them now is PPI on loans and credit cards
  16. Sissy plug, christ if my saws didn't have one i would be going through a GTN spray a week.
  17. The screw that holds the band in place, (fitted from the underside of the saw) is my favourite part to leave out. It causes the same symptons you describe.

    029 super

Is the chain on the right way round? With 3 hours use i cant see the bar needing to be replaced, surely they would have done this at the service 3 weeks ago if it was needed.

    029 super

dont even think of modding it, something is wrong. A saw with 3 hours use should be ripping through that. Is the chain sharp?

    029 super

Who has serviced it? Sounds to me like an air leak in either the fuel line or the impulse hose.

    FS 130 Seized??

Is it the 4 mix? Sounds like it has dropped a valve.
  22. Best of luck, I gave up 30 a day on August bank holiday 2010 after having a heart attack at the age of 34 totally down to smoking. Sixteen months later and i could still kill for one now. Its hard, ive put on a stone in the time but i would rather carry that round with me than a pack of fags and a lighter and end up in hospital again.
  23. I sell quite a lot of spares on ebay and all that are sold go out covered in smart water, many times people have tried to say that the coil dont work or the carb is no good. As soon as i say they are covered in smart water and once the part is returned and if it is the part we sent out we will fully refund. Never have the buyers followed up or tried to claim through paypal.
  24. And the price people will pay for a "spare or repair" saw is unbelievable. Recently ive seen some 260's go for more than a running ones in good condition with oils and spare chains.
  25. The piston looks like it has done very little work and is like new. IMO the droplets on the piston and on the cylinder wall are fuel and the bits that look like scratches are smears of fuel. The saw is flooded, can the original poster tell us how he tried to start the saw.
