  3. open up your anti visus software go into scan settings and choose a deep scan of all files
  4. 3 hours is a long time for a scan unless your hard drive is chocker or your processor is a bit knackered. I would be a bit concerned. Try a defrag to free up space on your hard drive which should help:001_smile: processor speed , then run a full deep scan Paul

  11. Hi All Can anyone recommend a good company/college to do CS38/39 training and assessment with in NW England. I want the courses to be an enjoyable, memorable experience as well as educational and as such don’t necessarily want the very cheapest costs but I’m not asking to be ripped off either or can anyone recommend a good instructor to seek out? Ta Paul

  13. w tip of scotland on tuesday quickly followed by another low (possibly worse) tracking up the west coast and hitting the w tip of scotland again on thurs/fri. Both lows will probably bring strong wind from N/Wales upwards and across the north of england into scotland. Paul

  19. Battery for Zoom, Arctic and Chrono Petzl head torches how are these for the price, I can recommend the levels of customer service
  20. arbogrunt is right about down being crap when wet, it wont loft and trap heat where as a synthetic or fibre pile bag will still provide upto 75% of insulation value when wet but sleeping in a wet bag either down or synthetic is no fun. Down is superior for its weight/warmth rato and if cared for correctly will last significantly longer than a synthetic (fibres break up). If you invest in a down bag then look after it and you'll get many good years service. If your not going to care for your bag or anticipate that it will get damp alot of the time, then go for synthetic
  21. if your still lookin for a sleeping bag then you could try a Cumulus bag, perhaps the MT650 or Prime 550. Top quality Polish down and Pertex fabrics throughout.
  22. Hi all I have also posted this thread on the general chat forum so my apologies if you have read this previously. I have recently booked onto NPTC CS30 & CS31 training courses including assessments and was looking to offer a company or companies based around the Wigan (Gtr Manchester) area some free labour days in return for gaining valuable, practical experience prior to my planned training in November. I would be available to work on Wednesday to Sundays most weeks with some prior notice as I am currently employed fulltime in an unrelated industry. I am a fit and reliable 42 year old with a clean driving license and would be able to drive to local sites if necessary. This is a genuine offer. If you feel you or your company may be able to benefit from my offer then please contact me. Many Thanks Paul
