  7. Thanks guys!
  8. Cheers! That would explain why I flooded it as I pushed it back in once it had first fired!
  9. Hi, I have just got an MS260 that has a decompression valve. I have never used a saw with a decomoression valve before........I understand how it works and you should push the valve in when trying to start it but do you have to push it in again once the saw has "burped"? I did this today and it wouldnt fire, ended up flooding it! Should I only push it in once?? Regards, Anthony.
  10. Thanks for the advice and offers! Unfortunatly in all the way down in Cornwall!
  11. Hi, Im doing my Cs30/31 on monday, got most things sorted but I need to have a scabbard for my saw to do the course. I have tried locally to get one and no one keeps them in stock and the quickest they could get me one is monday! Would anyone on here be willing to lend me one? I can cover postage. I also need some gloves, im a little reluctant to buy some as money is tight and im sure I wouldnt ever wear them after I (hopefully) pass the course! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards, Anthony.
  12. Still avaliable, just looking for a chance!!!!
  13. Fair point, I was just trying to make people aware that there might be a problem with reguard to their profits if they wernt CIS regestered, as I found out when the council tried to take 20% off of me without even mensioning that I should be CIS regestered! Sorry for the confusion.........
  14. Im ny experience of working for the council (property maintenance and scrub clearance) you dont have to be CIS regestered BUT IF YOU ARE NOT THEY WILL TAKE AN ADDITIONAL 20% OFF OF YOUR INVOIVE TOTAL!!!!!!!!!!!! Hence my post that you need to be regestered as I dont know about you but I couldnt afford to lose 20%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. You also have to be CIS regestered to work for the council.
  16. Yeah, I saw that! Hopefully the same kind of bidders will bid on my MS171!
  17. Sorted now, got a MS260 at a good price:)
  18. PM sent!
  19. Hi mate,

Chris Sheppard said that you might be selling a Stihl 024? If so how much do you want for it?

    Regards,

    Anthony.

  20. Cheers chris! How do I find his profile to PM him?
  21. Ok, thanks!
  22. Some good points! I was just wondering, the CS31 teaches you to fell trees upto 15" diameter, how can I do that with a 12" bar? I know you can do it if you make 2 cuts but is that allowed on the course?

Thats what I was hoping but I have contacted them and they dont think my saw will be "Man enough". To be fair it is only a small domestic saw afterall!
  24. Thanks for the offer sam but im down in cornwall. Thanks for all the replies, I think im going to sell my 171 and put the cash towards a bigger saw.
  25. Unfortunately not from the one i booked with, i booked with them cause the next nearest training place is 60 miles away! Also I would rather put the money I would pay to hire one towards getting my own saw as im prob gonna need one after i hopefully pass!
