  6. The van weighs 3000kg giving a 2500kg pay load and the chipper weighs 2100kg Ward 19 Infection & Tropical Diseases
  7. It does come off but its 8 bolts so bit of a pain Ward 19 Infection & Tropical Diseases

  13. The Iveco has payload and volume, mine holds 7 cubic meters if chip and carry's it no problem, when filled to the max I am a shaving over 5500kg -not sure what you meant by not having the volume? Ward 19 Infection & Tropical Diseases
  14. Excellent start to the day with the new chipper, totally blew me away with its massive intake capability... But I knew everything seemed to good to be true today and I was rite! My backpack BR600 packed in so replaced it Grrrrr And that wasn't all my pole pruner packed in too so that's now in Gusthsrts and it ain't looking good!!! Maybe that will need replacing too... Time will tell Hope you all have had a less expensive day lol Ward 19 Infection & Tropical Diseases
  15. .....oh and looking cool but that aint gona make me money
  16. I think defenders look great but thats where it ends for me, if i wanted a cracking off-roader id buy a wrangler, if i wanted to do day to day average domestic tree/hedge work id buy a transit. If i wanted to do a lot of off road work and remove chip/logs id buy a Mog/Iveco 4x4 The only benefits I can see from a defender is its towing capacity Only my opinion
  17. My mistake, weight is more like 2000kg but still only leaves 1500kg for body tools and chip/logs.... Oh and bait Ward 19 Infection & Tropical Diseases
  18. It was very close too 3000kg, that was a 130 single chassis cab
  19. Not even with being overloaded?
  20. The problem you will face with a pickup with chip box is weight you can carry, i looked into hVing my mk5 hilux converted but all weight will be over the rear axel which in turn means you will be overloaded on that axel with very little weight in. I personally would not go down that rout at all. Defender tippers are the same although there are plenty out there, i again looked into getting a 130 converted into a tipper but the weight of a 130 chassis cab was 3000kg and the maximum weight for vehicle and body and load is 3500kg so this would have given me 500kg to build a body and fill it with chip....? Not happening really. Good luck with whatever you choose and remember this is only my opinion
  21. I spent the day crown raising on a campsite in Northumberland with no phone reception, and I was waiting for a call from Will Wood from Vermeer with an arrival time with the new chipper! Anyway we lashed on and got todays bits done by 12:30pm so blasted back home and split logs till it turned up shortly before 3 Just look at the photos, looks awsome and chips better than I remember on the demo - well chuffed as you can probably tell
