  9. Sad stuff, I hope whoever it is gives himself up or gets caught.
  10. You call that basic! I would love to have half your talent and half the talent Dave has as well
  11. you could tie your own using some 5mm cord or something similar with a monkey fist Ropers Knot Page - The Frequently Asked Knots
  12. I think what i am doing is the best option if you dont want to splash out all the cash at the first post. Freelancing is the way to start with nothing and build it up from there. I am doing it because i dont know if i will be here any more than 1 more year and i dont want to waste all that cash to just move again but it seems the best option to me if you want to start with nothing.
  13. do you have qualifications? what are you wanting to start up? a tree surgery business? do you have any idea how much vans, chippers, saws and all the other equipment costs? insurance? unless you already have a nice stack of cash then you will need to be nice to the banks anyway.
  14. I can imagine the Italians would need to import them as well for sure because they are a very sought after and eaten a LOT! almost everywhere you go you can find something with porcini. Francesca (my other half) just said you were to stop talking about them and just bring them here so she can do a lovely risotto:lol: if i was you i would cos that girl can cook:thumbup1:
  15. ok i am fed now so i can talk food hehe. Your probably right gerrit but i have on more than one occasion been to a "sagra dei porcini" in italy which is basically an eating party which the italians are extremely good at, this one of course being a celebration of porcini. At these partys there is local guys selling the porcini freshly picked by their own hands so i know its from italy and very local. Supermarkets are always getting their stuff from everywhere else except the local suppliers and thats where your scandanavian ones will end up.
  16. Glad to hear it:thumbup: they are tasty though i must admit, one of my favourite pizza when i was staying in rome was with porcini ...... shlurp i am sooo glad my dinner is now on the table
  17. well ok i will give you that one then but tell me something.... do you cry when you eat mushrooms? its ok i already got my coat:blushing:
  18. wow thats a cracking bench and 3 lovely ladies too, your a lucky man tommy:thumbup1:
  19. naughty druids! i hope they didnt sacrifice her afterwards:001_tt2: I still think its a good idea as long as the branches being lifted aint stupid big and dodger uses his brain instead of muscles:thumbup1:
  20. Ahh i just spotted a needle in the photo with the unbroken one! i shouldnt give you these clues:sneaky2:
  21. it was with spruce Gerrit so i guess it will be Lactarius deterrimus. See thats why your the man, i never even said what trees were close but you already knew it:thumbup1:
  22. spotted these today a little too late to save them from getting branches dragged over the top of them:blushing:. Funky orange, yellow and green colouring that doesnt come out well in the photos. Ok fungi hunters whatya call em?
