  5. was hopin it was from the dale,, id have paid well for it,,,,,,
  6. elm will only go up in price over time, looks like therell be some burr in it , worth milling ,, cut it in half (length )to make more managable, cut 2 inch or over and itll give ypou more options,, over 2 inch and your into woodturning thickness,=, more customers
  7. hello there,,, nice coloured stuff ,, got a future if milled,,, where abouts is it ,, may be interested ,,
  8. tried it last year for a couple of months,,, had a quite few enquirys , but your advertising to alot of people and if you only delivery very local itll probs be a waste of time,,, ive just had orders from 3lots of last years ebay customers this week booking timber for later in the year,,, prices in my rural part of the country are similar ebay prices,, but people know theyll have to pay more this year ,, which is a pity because im way behind with my firewood,,it may mean illhave wood ready after new year ,last year i stopped supplying new customers after december
  9. i got a new 346 xp last week from a local dealer ,, they knocked £50 off shelf price but i still paid £60 (inch vat ) more than cheapest i could find on net ,,, ,if i have problems itll go back to local dealer rather than trying to send back to internet dealer

  19. Hello,, pictures of the trekka saw milling olive burr ash ,, tree was approx 120cm ,, cut edges off so bookmatch pieces could be cut ,, boards in picture are 100cm wide ,, playing with using different lubricants at the moment ,, darker marks on timber come off when dry ,, diesel is probs best but with wide cuts alot needs to be used and can add alot to the cost of milling ,,
  20. Its home made ,,, made it up so i could cut wide slabs where the tree fell without moving the trunk (just level the track up ) and its also usefull for breaking down big logs into smaller sections for bandmilll,,,, i have a nearly finnished frame sat in the shed that can take up to a 42 inch bar,, just needs a new home built in a similar way tothe pro cut sawmills in australia
  21. hello,, Had it a couple of years now,, somebody else spent the money to get it how it is,, a 560 would be great but being honest i think the 360 is idealsize for an old tractor like this,,, roof cranes do put alot of stress on rear axle,, ive got a seal gone in the rear axle of mine,, the whole crane and frame needs to come off to gain access to remove the rear trumpet (axle end section),, my tractor mechanic mate says im best to leave it till it gets worse ,,itll get new bearing and any other wearing part replaced when the seals do get replaced
  22. Hello,,, yes its a lumbermate,,, mark 4 model ,,model before the 2000 i think ,, it now runs on a home made trailer that my big chainsaw mill can also run on ,, The last 2 pictures are of a table i just finnished for a customer ,, the slab could be the piece in my last post that was cut with my homemade alasken type mill with rollers
