  1. What peds said. Zeppelin bends look a bit fall-aparty. Great for a hard winch/machine pull I'm sure but I'd worry with a climbing line that I'm constantly weighting and unweighting over a few hours. I can't remember how to tie one either.

    Clever or not?

The split is in the cane. The planted plant is fine. CAN YOU SEE WITHOUT YOUR GLASSES, SIR?

    Clever or not?

No, it’s not. If it’s going to rub the bark off or something, I can go back out with a bit of string.
  4. No it’s not. 99% of modern air rifles shoot fabulously accurately. 50% of HMRs don’t shoot or at least have some niggling annoyance. We really are wasting the internet now.
  5. Fair enough. I didn’t like mine. Firm 50:50 mix of mates who like:dislike them too.
  6. I realised as I was typing, the sin of clogging the internet up with more of it but I already had it mostly done by then.
  7. HMR. Anyone who’s got one says they’re great because they know they need market confidence in them to sell theirs. Anyone who’s had one knows they’re hit and miss. Hornet. Old reliable. If it’s not flat enough, you could probably make it flatter with a better zero for scope height and PBR.
  8. Planting a few bits and pieces. No real idea what I’m doing. Thought this floppy thing looked like it needed keeping upright. Pulled a silky out of my back pocket and this happened. Good idea? Bad idea? Doesn’t matter much?
  9. This pickaroon that I lashed up from a broken axe handle and a lag screw a few years ago. Just found it in a shed and wondering how I’ve coped without it.
  10. HMR is pointless. Replace it with a .22 Hornet. There are always loads of (excellent) CZ Hornets about.

    Stokboard

Stokbord or Solway's own version? Is it the same thing?
  13. Pretty sure it’s a Bell and Carlson. Hogue are usually rubber and shit.
  14. Utilities hidden behind walls, skirting etc is moronic. How aesthetically shallow do you need to be to have them hidden, only to be unhidden to fix problems and then rehidden. Have the pipe on the wall so you can touch it to see if it's hot and so you can look at it to see if it's dripping.
  15. Ergonomics, modularity, mounting stuff. I'd prefer a bolt action for the lower profile, quietness and not losing brass but you're looking at Tubbs or tube chassis stuff for that, the latter of which you then have to make sure feeds.

    STHIL MSA 220 T

It really pissed me off. I already use a 220 backhandle so the battery novelty wasn't enough to win me over.
  17. Anybody got an AR for sale?
  18. Scruffy but effective, like me. Does anyone know what the fibreglass lid thing is? Looks a bit like the top of a bio-digester that you see poking out of lawns. Pretty good size for capping a pallet.
  19. Good choice. 500 with 25 is lovely.

    STHIL MSA 220 T

I likewise can update about my whingeing to Stihl. Someone fairly competent sounding from Camberley got in touch and was convincingly interested in my concerns. Whether Germany listen to him is another thing.
  21. And about a grand.
  22. Pull a bullet and put the case in the electric toaster for the wife to discover. She could also discover one with an electric vacuum cleaner. Centrefire primers certainly pop when sucked up.
  23. Drill a blind 5mm hole about an inch deep in some stout metal. Bullet down and whack the back with a hammer. See if either the hammer, the case or the bullet makes a hole in the roof of the shed. Could also blow shrapnel into your face, neck, chest etc.
  24. Whatever happened to Paddy the aircraft mechanic?
  25. Aware you're probably busy with the build (not to mention all the dogging, transgender gimp keeping, vegancentric, sex-positive fruit sports and similar degenerative pursuits) but I indeed would love to see more on this thread.
