  1. we do lose the odd contract due to being undercut that's business and they normally come back to us because their not getting the service they thought they would get for XYZ cheaper firm and probably the majority of people on here have undercut the local competition just to get the job ie hard times
  2. i don't understand why you would want to have a go about someone sorting logs direct to save a few quid do you not do things to save money or am i due a telling off for repairing / servicing all our saws, chipper vans ride on mowers and anything else to save money having an allotment growing my own veg doing my own decorating should i have to use these trades just because their there live and let live

  8. Hi all As per the title does anybody know would do the parts for a self build sides not a problem but need 2 doors on the back so need to source hinges that flap right back and handles that lock like container doors web site needed if possible. cheers

  11. I've always found any goggles that fit that tight mist up i know it says anti mist but i never had a pair anti mist or not that don't steam up even safety specs mist on a cold day and they have ventilation all said and done if your testing them out the proof is in the testing keep us updated

  20. small front garden go up from the back garden ridge ladder up back slope get on ridge sitting pull ridge ladder up put on front slope do your repair then reverse all of that to get back down :thumbup1:

  24. training and experience are not part of this debate as both employers can employ staff that are qualified and experienced at no cost to themselves albeit a climber may earn/cost more than a GM operative to the O/P day rate can vary vastly due to overheads work from home Verse an office 2 man band verse medium size company with non productive office staff the day rate has to be whatever is right for you only you know your overheads and how much profit you would like to earn
  25. we used to do fire brigade sites all collect beginning of the the season we would have tons of cuttings no one takes them for free
