  1. hand brake problems no doubt...
  2. mine did that at 35k and they replaced clutch and gear box... always found my dealer very helpful.. they ust put complete new leather interior in mrs sport cos drivers seat had slight wear on it.. and 6 months ago they recalled my range rover 2 yrs after warranty ran out to put font diff in it.. when i had land cruiser was hard enough to get em to do anything under warranty without a dozen calls [ admitadly i did 330k miles in lanny with no sign of gearbox going and interior exellent after those miles]
  3. most machines around 10 ton have demo guards... that should stop anything comin in cab..
  4. if we did everything to the HSE's liking we'd be broke..... common sense and operator that no's what there doing is good enough..

  7. you no you can have the bulk head removed from new.. my uncles's your hight and big built.. he bought new 90 last year and the seat goes back another 6 inches min.. looks strange when you see him drivin it fom side cos u cant see his head...
  8. where do you get your red from mate... we buy 5000 litres every 5 or 6 weeks and cant get it anywhere for anything like that price...
  9. tell me about it. we just had to spend £300 on new filter system on our tank for this new diesel.. we were changin diesel filter every 2 days on our combine back at harvest..
  10. you took words right out my mouth... thats exactly what i'd do... if police stop just plead ignorance...
  11. ordered 5000 litres yesterday... 64.5per L... ITS A JOKE.. its 600 quid more than last lot we had before xmas..
  12. hi mate... to be honest i'm not a land rover fan... although the mrs has the sport and i couldnt bear to sell TD6 range so kept that for myself..... i've always had L200'S or such like but i have to say i just bought a 57 plate 90 with the new engine in it and as i only use it for work its the best veichle for job... it pulls like a train and is bit more comfortable than older ones and will def hold its value better than anything.... depends what you do with it... i do lot clay and pheasant shootin clockin up lot miles through year and couldnt do it in the 90..[my back wouldnt take it on long journey] but 100% for work, cant be beaten....
  13. hi.. i'm in amersham in bucks.. i could prob get in one of my hook loader bins somehow so could deliver..
  14. i have one.... not sure what quality but its over 1 metre diameter... and should be 4 long.. it died standing.. its been in yard for 2 yrs as cant lift it.. took 3 tele handlers on site to get it on trailer...
  15. which i did [ email ] 2 days ago..
  16. the one i've seen is adjustable [slides in an out] so assume you could slide long one out and slide shorter one in for normal use..
  17. ha.. asit happens we do fair bit down your way.. guildford.. camberley.. staines.. farnborough [that is surrey way isn't it before i look stupid].. mostly commercial stuff admitedly but do get lot work from people passin or workin in the retail units offices etc..
  18. yes mate.. briants of risbro.. they shut at 12... you can drive right past it on your way to aylesbury tomorrow.. mention my name you'l get good deal.. call me in morning i'l give u directions..
  19. yeah seen it done mate not sure if its legal though.. company round our way has 8 ton twin axle trailer with extra long draw bar that goes neatly under chipper..
  20. bought 5000 litres red diesel today... over 600 quid more than last lot bought before xmas...theres no way can put that extra cost on to customer so has to come out profits.. god no's how much more the whites costin.. dont seem to notice that as much when buyin the odd tank full
  21. ha.. i'm sure thats not true... i run a skip hire firm and we have 1000+ acres mostly arable land and do bit agri contractin too.. also sell and deliver hay and straw all over place..
  22. your 100% right there.. i get grief round here for being to cheap.. but where as some would price job for 550 and take 2 of them all day i price same job for 400 but do 2 similar priced ones in day with 3 men and hopefully have bit time left to split few load logs at end of day... i'd rather do 3 good full days with good money than 5 with less.. but tree works not all we do so i'm lucky in that respect..
  23. thats why i said think what your happy going home with at end of job or day and as its one of first jobs make sure its right as word mouth is best form of advertisin.. i no when i first started climbin on my own with a young lad helpin i could earn very good money without any hassle.... i wouldn't say i earn great deal more now than i did 15 yrs ago... lot to be said for keepin small...
  24. we're in amersham in bucks.. we charge 4 to 500 for half day..[unless theres lot of hedge cuttin..] and between 8 and 900 if its a full day... [more if its ticky job].. thats for 3 workers.. wether a climbers needed or not.. like i said i have to pay climber between 150 + 180 day so he'd be savin that.. wether u wanna pass that savin to customer is up to u... most crews round here charge 500 a day 4 one climber ana 1 groundsman.. but there all done by lunch time.. when i pay climber i need him [or her] to be doing a good day..
  25. are you gettin payed just to reduce the tree then walk away leavin all brush etc for them to clear or is 350 to do whole job.. if so i'd a said that was fair..
