  1. Have any of you ever used self storage sites to keep a chipper, stump grinder trailer ect ? Pros and cons, cost, insurance, any feedback would be appreciated
  2. If it can be done at the weekend, Ill do it for you if you dont get any other offers. My stump grinder might be muddy though PM sent
  3. I said the same sort of thing on another thread on here the other day A gallon of Pepsi bought in 500 ml bottles workes out to be about £16.00
  4. Negative comments on this thread arnt going to help one bit all they do is make people think twice before posting a thread, I dont want my chipper to be clean a shiney it attracts the wrong sort of attention and as for jet washing it just pushes the water and grit into the bearings. Good for you Treegeek for your post
  5. Its going to be new in my eyes but old to the previous owner Storage space for the tools has always been my biggest headache.
  6. Good point Wooded looks like the 15 23 is 1.29 metres wide which I bet could be shoe horned a tad, Anybody reading this thread got one ?
  7. No chance of making the space bigger without moving the house or boundry wall. Had to make do with a Camon for the last 5 years but its time to spend some money! Tracked seems the way to go but then I need about 4 car lenghts to line the truck trailer ramps and then the machine up. Its a shame you cant get a towable chipper with a vari axle
  8. I bet if you disturbed a wasps nest up a tree you to could be just as fast as Tarzan in the video
  9. The storage space for my chipper is 1.27 metres wide, And its time to upgrade my options are a tracked machine or modify a towable machine to fit the gap. Has anybody on here got any bright ideas ?
  10. I bet he spent the day up the nicest tree he could find and then made the short video editing out all of the mistakes . I wouldnt want to work with a climber like that ( I recon he's having fun ) but with full PPE and an 020, swinging about like that in the advarage tree would be a recipe for a trip up A&E Had a pants day and fancied a snipe ... feeling lots better
  11. I've just read this thread and now I've got a head ache! thanks you lot
  12. Just remembered the saying " If you havent got anything nice to say... dont say anything at all" Going to end on that note
  13. I lost respect for the fire brigade when they went on strike and left the army that were already short staffed to fight fires in the old Green Godesses Dont get me started
  14. I bet It took them half an hour to do the risk assesment and another half an hour to cut it down! What chance have we got if the pooh hits the fan and that lot turn up ? I might get some flack for my comment and I know that they do do a good job but it does make me wonder.
  15. Bark looks to dark! correct me if Im wrong and I usually am but shouldnt it be a sandy colour ?
  16. Robinia isnt heavy! its a soft wood.... doest it smell like pine ? any sap?
  17. Just asked a mate of mine who's in the know he said if the ABS light is on even if the brakes work fine its still a fail,
  18. It failed because of a warning light
  19. I had the brake and hand brake shoes changed on my Iveco when the oil seal went and they got contaminated, only problem was the wire to the shoes which is only a few quid was'nt changed and the light on the dash has been on ever since
  20. We've got a company called Special branch in Chichester, I wonder how many there are?
  21. Tree wise men Novuck and Good Special Branch
  22. Yeah I've kept my eye on there! The timberwolf thats on Ebay at the moment has also been in an auction and not sold, When I rang the owner up he wasnt alot of help As for the Bandit Skyhuck its to wide and heavy:thumbdown:
  23. Hi all! Im sure alot of you will know that I've been looking for a tracked 6 inch Timberwolf for a while, well I havent found what Im looking for and the more I read the more Im thinking that I should'nt disregard Jensens or Greenmechs so Im now a bit more open minded, can anybody help either with advice or even a machine they know of. Im not VAT registerd and my budget would run to 9k all in.
  24. Well done mate
