  1. not trying to steer buisness away from site sponsors but have you tried southern ireland ?my local dealer always beats cathcarts by quite abit. also strong pound v euro . 1+a half hrs from enniskellin

  3. we almost always do storm damage at our hourly or day rates . we give the client estimated max cost allowing for setting up boarding etc + cutting down in tiny sections . i dont beleive in making a killing out of somebodys misfortune but its usually the clients poor planning or neglect of or damage to his trees that has caused the situation. i find it usually ends up costing less, customer is happy at not being fleeced= lots of referals + repeat jobs

    Day Rate

    we look for 300e per man 100 for chipper or 200 pto 10inch grab fed 100 mewp . usually end up supplying 3rd man at cost. used to get 10-15% more 2 years ago. now there are gangs on 500 for 2men & chipper and every town surrounded by cowboy\window cleaners\tree toppers
  5. i have a 2002 old shape transit tipper (ex power co)its parked cos clutch knackered also weight issues (3500kg empty)long cab good turbo engine. would like to sell (as is ) to enthusiast or fellow tree worker .sorry no photos i am new to computers etc.
  6. yes . they can be dangerous if not tied closed and can give a nasty dig if swinging from harness uncovered. im thinking of akind of pruner pod to hang on harness. wondered if there was any such thing available on shelf. (utility co a bit anal about homemade gear)
  7. hi. i use hand pruners (by-pass loppers) quite a lot for reducing + trimming edges on leylandi hedges . just wondering if there are any purpose made scabbards available to carry pruners on harness or to attach to mewp basket or hedging ladder. thanks
