  4. Boom! 1st 2nd and 4th, tidy £300 return!
  5. IMO, dont go below £300 otherwise you begin to get budget components, a Specialised Hardrock is a good entry level bike.
  6. if only 3 were a law! that might stop people moaning about the price of tree work!
  7. i was told at college that because uv degrades the plastic over time, the area under the sticker does not degrade at the same rate as the rest of the helmet. therefore, it creates a weak point around the edge of the sticker. but imo dont think that it would make a massive difference.
  8. i have one and i find it very light and comfortable, the only quarrels i have with it are the saw attatchment point and the side d's twist. other than that i have enjoyed it hope that helps!

  11. So today we were working at a customers house, removing a beack and a large connifer. then the neighbor comes out and starts to say that the trees are protected. despite the fact the customer had explained to my boss that there was a ten year planning order on the house(bought as development land) which meant no work could be done on the trees withought permisson. After a call to the tree officer and an hour of tools down, the guy still did not believe that it was ok to work. so filmed us working from an upstairs window in his house! Now, as i only have 1 years exp working in the arb industry i was just wondering how often do people find this happening? and what do they do about it? Me, i just smiled to the camera everynow and then!
  12. I went to catch mine as it fell today, endend up with 4 of the smallest/deepest cuts. blood everywhere! now 4-5 hours later there is barely a scratch just a small cut on the top of my thumb! irony is i was telling a neighbour about how sharp the mothers are literally 30 mins prior to this happening!

  15. Hi all, basically a freind has just bought a new house and the garden needs some work done to it and a few trees removed, i was asked because i have a saw and my cs30/31 (38 soon:thumbup1:). thinking that it would be general property maintanance i agreed. however i have subsequently found out that the builders who are renovating the house will be there and are going to be hiring a chainsaw to help. i was happy to do this as a freind, as a one off type thing, but if builders are going to be there i feel uncomfortable as im unsure on the legislation. i have been told they are insured as builders. but would i be correct in saying they need cs30/31 (or more) to be insured for tree work? I should say that i had made it vey clear that i had no insurance so would look at the trees before work to say if it was within my ability and i was doing this a favour, i should also say im 19 and still quite "green" to the industry, so directly confronting the builders could lead to me being dismissed as being a "know it all kid". i just wanted to know your thoughts Thanks Guys
