I felt like it Friday night and yesterday morning but starting to recover slowly.
-
Its where the tree has naturally pruned itself and sealed the hole the limb left.
-
Ok. Its green laning but Green laning doesn't sound as good as off roading.
-
Nope. But still feeling like i've been on a week long binge on energy drinks and then stopped.
-
The pics from today. We did a spot of ploughing on a deep rutted lane that has just been hammered back.

I've been eating light meals (lightly buttered crackers, plain toast and boiled rice) to keep my metabolism going. I slept well last night with no need to get up during the night. Spent the day green laning with a bacon butty inside and had no problems. Had a doughnut for lunch with a tea with two sugers and almost heaved again. Temperature is back to normal (or near enough). Got a child sized Chicken pie for tea tonight so will see if that stays down.
-
I dry heaved at 6 this morning but been fine for the rest of the day. Been having hot and cold flushes all day accompanied by constant shivering. Drinking flat Original Lucozade to keep my sugar levels up. I am slowly on the mend as helped my dad on a bottle run to the local bottle bank.
-
I hope so too. I'm green laning on Sunday and then got 4 beat days next week. 3 of them in a row.

Since yesterday morning i've been feeling very very ill. I've been hot (temp this morning was 38.8C) but shaking, just about able to keep fluids and very light solids down. I felt very tired yesterday morning and even the slightest mention or smell of food and i was gagging. I've got through 10 pints of water today and 4 cups of lemsip. And yet havent been to the loo. Do these symptoms point to flu or another virus?

Had a camera man out from Guns On Pegs out with us on Friday last week. We did the 5 best drives this season and they went faultlessly desipte me losing 100 partridge on the last drive. The weather was ideal for all of the drives. To top it off we saw a large group (50+) of Quail and 6 Red Kites during the day.

A few taken during the week with the low sun on our flagship site. The exception being the last picture taken at lunchtime. -
Corsham Court and Kingston Lacy - fungi finds

No worries. A good wood to check out is Thorncombe Woods nr Dorchester. Lots of fungi ridden trees which are pretty much left to their own devices. -

No worries. I got some good woods near me that would make even the most hardcore fung and body language nut shiver in his boots. Shall take you to our most famous woods in the area with some big beeches and an massive yew. -

Get off my patch:sneaky2: If ya had dropped me a line on here we could have gone for a pint in one of the many locals of the area. -
Some Gano i found growing on a Sallow Willow. I'm thinking G.australe but no sink marks where the brackets attach so maybe G.lipense. It is panic fruiting and the tree is starting to show signs of die-back. Its on private (for now) land but the land owner has given it open access status as it is next to our flagship site.

Some more longitudinal shots this time of beech that has been sat on the floor for 3 years. The black fungus is Hypoxylon multiforme. I did think it was KD but it had a different texture. -
Nice. I may be having a monster fire this week in our fire pit as we need to empty it ready for the winter. 4 bridge kits, rotten railway sleepers, stile kits and loads of hedgcutting to burn up. As well as 5 trailer loads of grass which we shall just stack to one side to rot down.

Oh yes. I think each time i get a branch with a central rot column i shall dissect it longitudinally to see what else is there. -

As per Hamas instructions i did a length ways slice of two parts of the squirrel damaged log. They came out pretty well as i did it with a reasonably sharp bowsaw. A chainsaw would have been too rough and the axe may have seperated the rotten wood from the good wood.
