  1. I knew I should have worded that differently...
  2. Sorry, I meant when you are cutting
  3. Sorry, I took the £50 as before tax With regards to kit, employ the right lad to start with?
  4. Meindl are very good. Haix are nice too.
  5. Errr... no. Had one and gave it to a gardener.
  6. Stop and tell them youll come back in a month to see, then carry on if you can. Explain that it will not cost anymore and that they are saving three baby birds, they will think a lot of you if they are decent folk.
  7. £50 isn't even minimal wage. I'd say £65, but I'm a kind bugger
  8. Husky 346XP or 357XP depending how big the guns are. Wish I had gone for 357XP now Sam
  9. I don't like the look of the climbing lids. I prefer the look of of the Husky but they don't fit my head, I end up taking it off at every opportunity Not sure about Stein/Petzl though Sam
  10. So who is going to the demo day Friday/Saturday? Im booked in saturday Sam
  11. Just looked at the top gun visors for Stein lids... £18! I'm sticking with the mesh...
  12. Thats mental! Someone has you you/everyone else coming
  13. Avon as above. Used by the hill stalkers who have only midges for friends. But it boils down to blood group, they really love one (can't remember which mind) and are pretty easy on the rest. They leave me alone, but I can't remember what blood group I am
  14. From talking to farming mates and things the NFU insurance is starting to take the proverbial. Its the same with their vehicles, hey ho - more companies out there on better deals.
  15. I wouldn't go for the top gun tit look anyway :biggrin:Too expensive to replace the way I get through mesh visors...
  16. Looks like I'm going to get one or the other. The Question now is the new Vent or The Stein Plasma Work AQ? Sam
  17. Don't get what thats really about chief, but hey ho
  18. Or is it normally a certain type of person who stands?
  19. I would look at doing some sort of diploma/certificate at a local college first. This will provide you with skills, experience (to a degree), the paperwork (NPTC Tickets) and most importantly contacts within industry. Depending where abouts in the northwest you are Reaseheath offers some great courses and is a cracking place to study. Sam
  20. I'm searching for a comfier helmet than the Husky standard ones I use, I just cant get them to fit right. Im impressed by the comfort of the Petzl's and Stein Plasma stuff, anyone using them on the floor for forestry and/or arb work? Sam
  21. Stihl ones are good. Put toothpaste on them, then wipe it off with kitchen roll to stop them steaming up
