  1. Matt what length is your cord how many wraps and braids are you using ? I can get mine to self tend nicely at not much height but to get the v.t to grab I have to help it.
  2. Definatly put a beal pinch over your spider jack leg attached to the krab, ever since I done this my sj tends alot better and it so smooth to pull slack out.
  3. The company i work for has the contract and we have been down there for a couple of weeks, alot of the trees are being felled because they are none native. They are trying to make the yews stand out so it looks pretty.
  4. Had to piece down a ash first thing this morning my rope was frozen stiff but it self tends lovely threw my sj :-).
  5. Great video. Thanks again for your help lads, is this the same principal for a stitched eye?
  6. Thanks guys. We're can I find a whipping guide wouldn't mind having a go myself.?
  7. Hi guys had this rope about 6 months now and noticed the splice stitching is looking a little on the loose side, is this safe to climb on? Iv been told its ok but I want a second opinion.
  8. Good riddance. Redknap will lead us to glory.
  9. Tree work seems tobe alot of hard work for little money. It's so hard to earn what you think you deserve there seems tobe no wage in-between trainee and climber. I hope that makes sense
  10. Sorry lads me and Andrew t can't make it as his truck has broken down.you lot have a good day
  11. Check this link out, some amazing tricks stunts etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vo0Cazxj_yc&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  12. Nice one I really suffer with dry hands I will have to try it :-).
  13. With the sj I found that it bites better when you force load onto it rather than ease your weight onto it. So dont be afraid to trust it when your swinging out. Hope that made sense. Enjoi
  14. That's because your a fat boy;-)
  15. That's what I thought, as it doesn't come apart like the lock jack.
  16. Where can you get them side cheeks from? Have anyone replaced these?
  17. Iv had mine nearly a year only problem I ever had was creep on new tachyon so I changed to pi, but I should have let the tachyon rough up abit. I haven't had to change a cam yet properly because im so light:-) and I'm pretty handy at using the break. Mine does creep a tiny bit but with the flick of the rope it stops. It never creeped with 13mm tho.
  18. Ah ok, yea it's a universal cam one size. You no what I'd like to hear more feedback on this because I think it could be the more worn the device gets the thicker rope you may need to use. I'm most properly wrong tho.
