  1. Well done to you fella Keep it up, whats next Cs 47. I know Skyhucks keen to get his, maybe you could pair up and get a discount  Thanks for the info on 41 btw. I'll prep the guys on the team who have their assessments next week.
  2. Saw this Laetiporus driving past today Went back later to take photos. Will contact that LA tommorow and scream at someone to get a rocket up their ar#e and get something done This is next to a childrens activity centre. :scared:
  3. Definately P sqaumosus . Have always find the AIE site a helpful online resource Charlieh. http://www.aie.org.uk/
  4. Found the info on dealing with OPM particularly interesting and helpful. Went over and introduced my self to Tony and Roger Jeffcoate last year at the AA show. Got into dialogue on how they tackle the Catapillars at Kew. They invited us over to have a butchers at their set ups but they never returned my e-mails to firm up a date. Never mind; seen it on telly now.
  5. Thought the workshop was us Arbies Church, where we're to be found worshiping at the alter of all things Woody. Where else would you be on a Sunday morning. Thanks for the pic Steve BTW, your strimmers shaft needs a good cleaning
  6. As an observation, I for one can see great merit in the continued attendances at Mosques, Temples and Sinagogues and the way this has a possitive effect in terms of the community spirit that these associated reigions posses. As opposed to the state of the C O E, which continues to have diminishing figures for church attendance. Rightly or not, this has a serious affect on us all as a community, as we do not know our neighbours. IMO, this is at the very root of all that is wrong in society today. No respect for elders, property etc ..........................................
  7. Have you got any pics of the above vt set up Steve?
  8. I believe the world would be a far richer place, if which ever religious persuasion someone adopts; it is one made out of the egotistical honesty and freedom which can only be made whilst as an adult, and not due to family or societies doctrination/brainwashing of the purity and weakness of the childish mind.
  9. Hadn't seen anyone configure that before, is the hitch tied to/or tied free on the other side of the becket. Is it just a stopper knot? Can't really tell from the ISC pictures.
  10. How dee doo dee A. Whats the height and out reach of your MEWP? Do you guys require tickets for operating and using saws from them? What percentage of your jobs do you reckon you use them on? Hows the IPL going, who's producing the goods? Cheers David
  11. My kids are big time in to TB at the mo, and love that one both trying to imitate brains every move. Has me rolling on the floor. Have you seen this one? Not particularly funny, but relevant. http://www.visit4info.com/advert/Specsavers-Myopic-Lumberjack-Specsavers-Opticians/59255
  12. A question I find keeps coming round as I get older, and as yet have no discernable view either way. Will ponder on this one a while yet. A bit personal, but a potentialy very absorbing thread Chris:icon14:
  13. Quite like the idea of being the horned one.
  14. After discovering, we debated for eternity; how best to prepare and serve the humble spud. The corner stone of this once proud and victorious nation But thats another thread.
  15. Took it off today, had such an intense concentrated mushroom smell, shame it was on yew; definately ripe for the pan otherwise. Liked the practical joke Chris they did something with expanding foam at Merrist Wood on a Mature Oak, think it had something to do with bees or similar ( Anyone know? ) Looked like fruiting bodies to me for a little while.
  16. Thanks fellas, appreciate your good will. Doesn't rock the majorities boats
  17. Good point, had not thought of that Will return and remove on the morrow
  18. Saw this on a Yew Today. Appears Laetiporus is not particularly fusy when it comes to host. Doubt it will mature as well as Petes one, as it's in a park, and will be picked and probably feasted upon.
  19. Now that Nelly's back home, we've got a stack of Coronet and Fracturing jobs to catch up with. This is on a Beech in decline, which is to be retained, monitored and reduced in phases. Laterals by MEWP, Apex of the crown later by rope. 3rd,4th & 5th are my attempt at replicating delamination. I know it looks odd, but the ravages of a little time will be kinder on the aesthetics. Got soaked and cramped today
  20. Good quality photos Mac. In the third shot; which knot is it tied with after the half hitch ( T H ? ) I can't make it out. And is the pull end hand held or rigged, out of picture?
