  1. How dee doo dee A. Whats the height and out reach of your MEWP? Do you guys require tickets for operating and using saws from them? What percentage of your jobs do you reckon you use them on? Hows the IPL going, who's producing the goods? Cheers David
  2. My kids are big time in to TB at the mo, and love that one both trying to imitate brains every move. Has me rolling on the floor. Have you seen this one? Not particularly funny, but relevant. http://www.visit4info.com/advert/Specsavers-Myopic-Lumberjack-Specsavers-Opticians/59255
  3. A question I find keeps coming round as I get older, and as yet have no discernable view either way. Will ponder on this one a while yet. A bit personal, but a potentialy very absorbing thread Chris:icon14:
  4. Quite like the idea of being the horned one.
  5. After discovering, we debated for eternity; how best to prepare and serve the humble spud. The corner stone of this once proud and victorious nation But thats another thread.
  6. Took it off today, had such an intense concentrated mushroom smell, shame it was on yew; definately ripe for the pan otherwise. Liked the practical joke Chris they did something with expanding foam at Merrist Wood on a Mature Oak, think it had something to do with bees or similar ( Anyone know? ) Looked like fruiting bodies to me for a little while.
  7. Thanks fellas, appreciate your good will. Doesn't rock the majorities boats
  8. Good point, had not thought of that Will return and remove on the morrow
  9. Saw this on a Yew Today. Appears Laetiporus is not particularly fusy when it comes to host. Doubt it will mature as well as Petes one, as it's in a park, and will be picked and probably feasted upon.
  10. Now that Nelly's back home, we've got a stack of Coronet and Fracturing jobs to catch up with. This is on a Beech in decline, which is to be retained, monitored and reduced in phases. Laterals by MEWP, Apex of the crown later by rope. 3rd,4th & 5th are my attempt at replicating delamination. I know it looks odd, but the ravages of a little time will be kinder on the aesthetics. Got soaked and cramped today
  11. Good quality photos Mac. In the third shot; which knot is it tied with after the half hitch ( T H ? ) I can't make it out. And is the pull end hand held or rigged, out of picture?
  12. That has set me up perfect for the day . Tickled me in far too many unmentional places. Great Post
  13. To be found in the near future, surfing the back posts here on all the big dismantle shots. The poor lad will require therapy before he even starts shaving
  14. Are we talking Rich Tea, Digestives or something altogether more fancy ?
  15. Will do Drew, cheers for the info
  16. Says the North and South MEWP Appreciation Society NASMAS  It's a very secret society; Only open to those who pray at the alter of Booms with Buckets attached/not just Hooks
  17. How old is that, does it need any maintenance?
  18. Did a big Pop reduction at a house in swanky Hampstead. The hired MEWP burst a hydraulic hose all over the 8 million pound gaffs drive, just as we started the job. Luckily the local landscaper did a stirling clean up job with no one the wiser
  19. A few more shots. This was one of the fellas on the teams first MEWP job. He was still smiling back at the yard
  20. Just got our Denka DL28 back from refit, Loler cert and servicing ( Three Months ) Here's a few pics of a dead birch takedown and coronet, espeicialy just for one of it's biggest fans. I know youv'e been missing my MEWP posts, Mr Huck. FTR...... no, it could not have been climbed; and felling was not the best option as it stood next to a £60k listed wall rebuild.
