  1. Who said anything about them being my kids toys This beast was 32 meters .
  2. I'm gonna go back over all your posts John and delete all containing profanity. Then you can rejoice at reaching 1000 all over again, just like ground hog day .
  3. Were you privy to the reason of the Td Stevie, root issues, decay, size? Nice shots all the same My youngest is an Alexander too, his waring skills are a good match for the living God himself .
  4. My music tastes are no where near as eclectic or reaching towards the stratosphere as you 'young fella me lads', but this is what I am listening to. Especially as I'm off this week 'painting da house' whilst uploading my old shiny round things into me new Streamium So here is the pleasurable mix of Ms Harvey and Mr Yorke Enjoy [ame] [/ame] .
  5. So it could well be that G. applanatum and G. adspersum/australe are quite possibly one and the same, varying their decay stratergies and form according to situation. Would make a heap of (up till now unquantified) sense. Possibly why there is no diffinitive within the community (Londsdale,Butin,Green,Mattheck,Strouts,Jordan,Kaizer et al) to Id'ing these individually and positively. Also the possible two different forms of Merip, that JFL talks on, would fit in neatly to this hypothosis. Interesting post Marcus, would be keen to hear Andrews view on this. Anychance you could nudge him along .
  6. Never tire of listening to that little gem of pure genius. Merits a continued reposting every 10 pages or so. Get it up on a pedestal .
  7. Chavtastic or Gymnistic? The latter for me. Forty quidish, it's been a while though. .
  8. Coulda saved yourself the bother Dean, and just upgraded to a Big Boys Chipper .
  9. Looks like a desicated Phallus impudicus, was it on any specific root plates? http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=3428 .
  10. Liking the video concept Johnny. Impressive conurbation of brackets. Any dd carried out. Any Ustulina present? .
  11. I'm not currently job seeking, but out of interest, are they new posts or vacated ? .
  12. Pm sent Training to force the branch structure Stevie, a little suprised the pipes are still there though. .
  13. Not for a while. Not that that's a reflection on their product, but I wouldn't be buying any of these any time soon............. Plus Kieth needs to sort out the seating arrangements for the Seminars, we're not Bonsai'd Tree People you know Scran's top notch though .
  14. Have you got a link to the seminar John, I didn't know about this one and I can't find it on Barchams site .
  15. Great composition Danny Not an entry Mr Sorenson as I've had my quota, but I've been waiting ages for the right context to post this one, cheers Danny. Spring 06 - Snakes Head Frits and frolicking Cardinal Beetles .
  16. Good find Tony. Most things don't change, just end up with a different lable. Although, it would also be interesting for someone (student?) to go back to these sites and record/photograph if any of these poor specimens still exist thirty odd years on. .
  17. Uber cool What's the down draft like, working directly underneath? .
  18. Cheers for the info Blakes. Any shots? .
  19. Great post Hannah, many thanks. I'm sure you would of said, but were there any signs of other fungi present? When you say covered, do you mean completely girdling the buttresses. Or did it appear extensively to one side. That Trees adaptive buttressing was truley remarkable. Would be fascinating to multi Dmp (or similar) a tree like this on every butress, to build up a snap shot of sound v decay, then set an exclusion zone around one and let nature take it's course to see how long it would take to fail. Anyone got a 120' vet Ustulina'd Beech and a spare couple of acres ? .
  20. Yeah the fellas were very captivated. Excuse the ignorance, what museum was yours? Top shot reminds me of the Drovers Inn on Lomand .
  21. Try explaining that to the long chain of friends and family that extends around the extra three peoples early demise. .
  22. Full marks for the way you just keep on percevering with the practice Mr Coates, you'll get there eventually Seemless You should hook up with a r/c mini blimp enthusiast and get the camera set up for some cool angled shots .
  23. Cracking shot John My wee fellas from earlier today. .
