  3. Aye but when you can rock a beard it's great, if you have growth above your lip and on your neck/chin area you just look like a homeless person hence I stay clean shaven until I can sport a full on Mountain Man beard btw Pics for proof Sky !
  4. Thanks for all the info fellas, will give it a go over the weekend and look at sorting out a benching partner, cheers
  5. I'll have to order some off Amazon and give them a bash, mate of mine is big into his training over in Elland so i'll pick his brains on it and ask him to give me a demo. Thanks Robert Edit : Thanks by the way, Hypnotherapy seemed to do the job, not had 1 Ciggy since nor want to.. if anything cig smoke smells pretty bloody rancid now lol

  7. Well said, glad you're ok mate must have scared the bejesus out of you when it was happening
  8. Evenin' all, Had a scan through the threads on here about Weight training - I've been doing it myself since November last year after I packed in smoking but I'm finding my strength hasn't jumped up a huge amount. My main exercising is just with 20kg dumb bells doing a few varied exercises [bicep Curl / Tricep kick back / Pullovers ] but I've been finding my chest hasn't increased a great deal either. My Q is - Whats the best exercises to do ? & is it worth looking into whey protein and other supplements ? My diet is pretty good and packed with meats/eggs and complex carbohydrates but just not getting that edge I'm after. But I've read that kettlebells are great, doing benchpress helps and even just plain pressups so I'm a bit confused on whats best. Any insight/help/advice would be appreciated, Cheers - Mike
  9. Thats only because you didn't pat her gently on the dashboard and ask her to be a good lass
  10. After a break from the site and having a long think, thought I'd join back in the banter Heres my baby, bought her back in Feb decided to name her Bessy :thumbup:only had a couple of hiccups - 1 Bloke ran into the back of me with his Golf GTI and had the starter motor go bang though armchairarborist & treequip on here were fantastic and helped me out a load, hope you gents like her as much as I do.
  11. Thanks mate, So how does Reiki work ? I had a quick gander earlier today - is it just healing hands or do they do other stuff too ? Nice one on quitting as well PeteB - I gave cold turkey a bash a few years back lasted for a few months but ended up picking up again second I got stressed out, it's a copout I know but an honest one Do you still struggle with cravings here n there or does it not bother you at all now ?
  12. Cheers mate I'm even more chuffed because my mums looking at trying it too now after seeing the effects, she's been smoking for 37-38 years now and for ages the same old arguments of '' Ah I've been smoking too long.. '' have been thrown up, yet now shes really wanting to knock them on the head. Just goes to show no ones too old to throw the habit What did it help you with Stephen ? If you don't mind me asking mate
  13. Evenin' all, Anyone else given it a bash ? Heard from a lot of friends and even family that it's well worth a look into to quit smoking and gotta say its working wonders - On my 3rd day no cigarettes, no patches no nicotine inhaler nothing and no craving for them. Other people smoking around me just makes me want to walk away and get fresh air.. pretty bizarre going from a 20 a day habit to that but no complaints - I'm already feeling the benefits of it. Just curious if anyone else has tried it out for other ailments and did it work for them ?
  14. That would do my nut in too to be honest, can always make use of that Silky pruning saw with the power cord ?
  15. @ logsupplier, to be a fly on the wall when you do that. Sam, did you like Modern Warfare 1 as well ? Reason I ask I played that one but skipped MW2 and went straight to BlackOps.. heard MW2 was rife with hacking and cheating online, that true ?
  16. Good luck Steve b101 I got ArmA2 as well, have you tried out Bennys Warfare on the XR Servers ? They're European based, pretty decent pings and the servers are constantly updated to the latest versions of Warfare with all mods. btw.. for Fallout New Vegas check out - Fallout New Vegas Nexus - New Vegas mods and community for some really nice custom mods, it take's a bit of fiddling about but you can use the Fallout New Vegas Mod Manager / Archive invalidator [ If anyone gets stuck give me a shout can explain ] Andddd Blackops.. its fun but its limited, its a proper run and gun game. Just curious what rank are other folks on there at the mo ? I'm currently Prestige level 2 and Level 40, just wondering if I can be bothered to try and hit Prestige level 13 like some people have already
  17. Sorry for your loss mate, hope time can help heal your wounds.
  18. Don't owe a penny luckily, from times in past I put away money for savings because I had a feeling the Economy was gonna take a nosedive, the '' boom '' period of our Economy was lasting too long it was bound to take a nosedive like it did do.
  19. Had a surprising turnup, local CPO came around to check on the damage and report it to the local Police in town - she's gone to get me a Rape Alarm for free, part of the local funding around here to help folks out apparently [ though made me wonder is rape a problem in Hudds ? ] but gonna rig that up to the shed, lets hope they're daft enough to give it another attempt nicking stuff More surprised the CPO's took a big interest and offered help like that, guess they aren't all jobsworths
  20. I'm more a fan of Ray Mears than Bear, reason being you get the impression off Ray that he does actually give a monkeys about what he does and is passing important knowledge on so it doesn't get lost with modern life. With Bear a lot of what he does is postulating for the camera, case in point being this clip : [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UpSlpvb1is]YouTube - Re: Man Vs. Wild, Bear Grylls is a Phony[/ame] Soon as I saw this I lost all my respect for him, as his shows are very misleading.
  21. I used my first name in my username on here but kept it at that because you never know who is looking on this website, be it in the members section or the public area on here. That isn't paranoia, I've seen mates of mine who work in IT pull up a persons entire postal address just from the IP address, so I don't really feel like advertising it on a site thats work related giving access to my full name along with the potential for all my details to be pulled up by someone whos IT savvy, ID theft is pretty prevalent these days and not being vigiliant is kinda like egging them on. Besides, when you do meet folks like a lot of you fellas have, you all know each others proper names/where you live, its a lot more private so does it really matter if they have full name on here ? Just my tuppence.
  22. Don't worry too much Dave, if anyone gives you jip saying you got a beer belly just tell them '' It's a fuel tank for a sex machine ''
