  3. A young lad pleaded with his strict dad to be allowed to his girlfriend's house one evening. His dad allowed him aslong as he stayed in her living room with the young lady's parents present and he was home in time for tea. After returning home the lad saw dinner on the table and tucked in. "Wow these fishcakes are delicious dad!!!" he said. His father replied " Wash your hands son.....they're donuts!!

  5. Good point Peter, although you should see some of the driveways I have to access with mine (un arb related work) Do you have your own O liscence or is it covered by a firm? Also how does the CPC affect you? James
  6. P.S. Driver (poss operator!!!) CPC comes into play for anything over/including 7.5t unless you have grandaddy rights. P.S.P.S. There a few exceptions for this regarding the incidental, not your main task, usage but thats all beyond me/don't care lol James
  7. What about 26t with crane? no longer/wider or harder to drive than an 18t. Some weight limits may put a few jobs out of bounds but cant think of many that differentiate between 18t or 26t, (they're normally 7.5t), only when you start talking artics. James
  8. Nothing wrong with getting Narky when people spell it wrong, I wince every time......P-U-R-D-E!!!!!! NOOOOO lol James

  16. Great idea Albedo. They dont make it past the two leaved stage thanks to the unprepared venison wandering about. I could get a few in a pot or tray then separate out the ash once they have more obvious leaves and see what else I get. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Thanks for the reply Tinker I hadn't thought of layering outside of the coppice, that might work if I pick a spot near the hedge. Ill keep my eyes peeled for some uneaten seeds and try them aswell. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
  18. I had suspected that but the delightful grey things seem to eat anything seed like in the woods so dont get to see many. I didn't want to buy them in so I was hoping for a free way to fet more. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
  19. This came to me in the woods (so no books/enough 3g to look it up!!!) is it possible/viable to take cuttings from ash saplings/hedges to grow into trees to plant for timber? Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2

  25. Harry feared his wife Peg wasn't hearing as well as she used to and he thought she might need a hearing aid. Not quite sure how to approach her, he called the family Doctor to discuss the problem. The Doctor told him there is a simple informal test the husband could perform to give the Doctor a better idea about her hearing loss. 'Here's what you do,' said the Doctor, 'stand about 40 feet away from her, and in a normal conversational speaking tone see if she hears you. If not, go to 30 feet, then 20 feet, and so on until you get a response.' That evening, the wife is in the kitchen cooking dinner, and Harry was in the garden. He says to himself, 'I'm about 40 feet away, let's see what happens.' Then in a normal tone he asks, 'Honey, what's for dinner?' No response. So the husband moves closer to the kitchen, about 30 feet from his wife and repeats, 'Peg, what's for dinner?' Still no response. Next he moves into the dining room where he is about 20 feet from his Wife and asks, 'Honey, what's for dinner?' Again he gets no response. So, he walks up to the kitchen door, about 10 feet away. 'Honey, what's for dinner?' Again there is no response. So he walks right up behind her. 'Peg, what's for dinner?' 'For God's sake Harry, for the FIFTH time CHICKEN!' she shouted.
