  1. Check the rabaud stuff Circular saw with stand and thermal engine - Rabaud 2 petrol options, one on trailer chassis, the other on small frame. Trailer version can be adopted for output conveyor. I like the simple log gripper on these machines, its on the right side of the V, thus giving extra leverage for the final cut and hand nowhere near the blade. Some makes dont have them at all, others have one, but its mounted the other way around.
  2. Good stuff Mate, well done. Did you get any extra's - 4way knife, table, log hoist?
  3. Well done, good to see her standing up and being counted for again. (Have to chuckle a little, every time I see that JD, I note the little faithful hound in the cab with your mate, must love all the action).
  4. How's the zetor working out mate?
  5. Breezeblock, thats the kind of adjustment i was wondering about myself. I have never investigated the steering setup on our 35 in any detail, so must do some investigation when Im home next.
  6. Thanks for the replies, glad to see its not a unique problem then. Not sure which alternator, but its deffo not the one you reference above Rich. Perhaps there is no solution, bar keeping a closer eye to business on rough ground and as mentioned above utilising the old skid steer.
  7. Yes mate, I take a 32-33 waist, and medium is a grand fit, got free button braces with mine as well.
  8. Yeah I got the long leg class c's (its a 34'' leg length). Lovely pair of pants, and very light for class c's. Ive noticed they dry out quickly as well.
  9. Just wondering if anyone here has an old 35 and has done the dynamo to alternator conversion. I've just finished the job, and have noticed the following problem: When turning hard right over uneven ground the steering arm ball joint union with the drag rod pushes up against the pulley wheel on the alternator, damaging the fins and belt. Now I know there is a guard you can buy for the alternator, which will help this problem, but at the the end of the day contact is being made and I'm worried that I could actually damage the entire unit, and mounts someday. As you mf35/135 owners know the front axle pivots in the centre. I'm wondering if the radius around which this turns can be adjusted in any way, i.e. tightened some how and thus preventing the above from happening? Thanks in advance.
  10. Yeah good stuff, things looked tight in that neat little garden.
  11. Looking forward to seeing this posch in action when you get her, be sure to post a wee video of it bursting, if and when you get a chance mate

  13. That's a really cool mobile unit there Nick, nice find.
  14. Are those first shots from Carton house Grasshopper? Was some sunrise this morning about 0815, didn't think the weather would get so dirty though.
  15. Thanks for taking the time to film some action there Dean. I'm well impressed with how that all turned out for you. A credit mate.
  16. Thought of that as well, and my guess was that the machine had sunken down too deep on the cab side to allow a smooth, unhindered slew through 90 degrees without causing potential damage to side panels on the back end, or the cab (pending direction of slew). There may even have been stumps on the sunken side of the machine, which would have ruled slewing out point blank.
  17. Awesome ATV (articulated tracked vehicle) setup with winch, couldn't believe it was the sole pulling power on this smart recovery. Great use of the tiltrotator with integral grab on the mini. 19. Great to see it all up and running now Stevie, all those minor issues you encountered ironed out. New lease of life mate, have fun!
  20. Not a bad old in/out speed for an old mf35. Most be a small bore ram, so probably wouldn't cope too well on bad knotty stuff. I'm sure its a handy tool.
  21. Monday to Friday - Geologist in a Zinc/Lead mine. 2nd job is at Weekends (and some week nights in the season) - the old fellow and myself run a small firewood business.
